She Quit Her Family and Found Herself novel Chapter 52

Meanwhile, Herbert had already walked out of the bar.

Justin followed close behind. "Was that Sylvie?"

"It was Hulda." Herbert tossed his car keys to the designated driver.

"Why is she causing trouble at a time like this?" Justin fumed, assuming Hulda was faking a crisis just to get Herbert's attention.

"Just ignore her." Herbert clearly thought the exact same thing. He opened the passenger door and got in.

The car sped off, heading resolutely toward Herbert's company.

Back in the bathroom, Hulda's mind went blank. Her ears were still ringing.

Before she could recover, the man grabbed her and dragged her out of the stall.

Behind her, Sienna screamed. "Ah! Let me go! Hulda! Hulda, help me!"

Hearing Sienna's desperate pleas, Hulda forced herself to stay calm. Since she had missed her chance to call the police, she had to try negotiating again. "I'm telling you, what you're doing is illegal. If you just let us go, name your price. I'll transfer the money to you right now."

Fearing they wouldn't care, she emphasized, "Any amount!"

But their reaction was entirely wrong.

The ringleader sneered. "Who do you think you're talking to? Do I look like I need your money?"

"Have you ever heard of the Fawley family in Aldercy City? You're looking at their heir!"
