Chapter 279
Screw it. Who knew when I would have a chance to do something like this again.
I grabbed the washcloth, surprising him.
His eyes turned dark.
I ran it down his shoulders and neck, his arms as he stilled, and then slowly down his chest and abdomen, licking my lips unconsciously.
He grabbed the edge of the tub and dug his fingers in.
“You like what you see?” he rasped.
“I do,” I purred, my hand going lower and lower as he gritted his teeth.
I did his legs, leaving his male bits for last.
He went to reach for the cloth, but I frowned at him.
“Sweetheart, I was just kidding. You don’t have to…” he started.
I touched his penis, and he stilled again.
I was curious. I’d seen them before, it was practically impossible not to back in my pack, but I’d never touched one.
It was soft. Smooth. I was entranced, running the washcloth gently over it, taking my time, my brow furrowed.
It suddenly turned hard.
I yanked my hand back.
“You’re torturing me, baby girl,” Aaron groaned, “you’re enough to make a man lose control.”
I bit my lip in chagrin.
“Sorry,” I whispered.
He chuckled.
“Don’t apologize for turning me on, but maybe don’t touch it again unless you want me to lose control. Although just looking at that body right now, right in front of me, is enough to make me want to ravish you.”
I giggled.
“Turn around so that I can do your back,” I whispered.
He turned around obediently, and I washed him, almost worshipping this body of his, which was so strong and yet so gentle at the same time.
“I can feel your breasts against me,” he commented, and I splashed him with water.
“Keep talking about me like that, and I’ll leave,” I threatened with a half smile.
He instantly fell silent.
I was finished. He turned back around and leaned against the tub.
“I’m finished,” I said, standing up.

He stood up so fast it gave me whiplash. Before I could so much as open my mouth, he had grabbed me and wrapped a towel around me.
He strode into the bedroom and then grabbed some of his clothes, putting them beside me.
“I don’t think these will fit,” I murmured helplessly.
I was short, whereas he was over 6′ fall. Not only that, but he was broad-shouldered and heavily muscled.
I put on his shirt, and it swam down past my knees like a dress.
His pants simply fell. I gave up and decided just to wear his shirt as a dress.
He put on a shirt and sweatpants as well as shoes. I remained barefoot.
“I’ll arrange some clothes for you,” he said, eyeing me, “although having you wear my shirt is definitely something I don’t mind.”
My stomach grumbled.
“Hungry?” he asked, grabbing my hand.
I looked up at him, dazed.
“A little,” I lied, and his lips twisted as though he knew I was starving and too afraid to admit it.
“Let’s go. I want you to meet the Alpha of my pack and his Luna. They’re nice, you’ll see, and my friends.”
But thoughts of Alpha Jacob flooded my mind, and I shuddered.
I had no doubts that this Alpha Damien would be different. After all, if Aaron was this nice, then his friends must be too, but I was still afraid.
My experiences with Alphas were not particularly pleasant, and I knew that Luna’s could be quite overpowering when it came to their mates.
Aaron was oblivious, taking me downstairs to the dining room.
Immediately, I felt eyes on me. Some girls openly raked their gazes over me, taking in Aaron’s shirt, my disheveled hair running down my back, and my hand gripped tightly in his.
I felt like running. Some gazes were hostile, others curious, and the men in particular leered at me.
Aaron was unfazed and led me to the end of the table where a particularly handsome man and a beautiful blonde- haired woman sat, small smiles on their faces.
He pulled out a chair, and I sat beside the woman with Aaron on the other side.
“Asher,” Aaron said softly, “This is my friends, Alpha Damien and Luna Marissa.”
I nodded politely, my heart throbbing wildly in my chest.
“Asher, it’s a beautiful name. I’m so happy for the two of you,” Marissa said and I brightened at the softness of her voice and the sincerity, while Damien nodded in agreement.
The food came out, and that’s when things began to fall apart.
