She pressed the answer button after stepping out of the place.

After their kiss, he looked down at her. His breath became slightly heavy. “Why did you leave the hotel by yourself?” 

After rushing back to the hotel from the hospital, he found only her suitcase but she was nowhere to be found. He sought out Gordon, but even he had no idea where she had gone. 

Then, she ignored several of his calls. 

Does this woman have any idea what danger was? 

Aurelia was somewhat taken aback, her mind a little hazy from the unexpected kiss. “Can’t I go out on my own? This is a tourist hotspot, and there are plenty of visitors. I had nothing to do at the hotel, so I decided to take a stroll. Do you… need something from me?” 

Didn’t he go to the hospital? 

The person who had him rushing to the hospital must have been extremely important to him. 

Matthew cast another glance at the bustling pedestrian street while listening to Aurelia’s nonchalant tone. Suddenly, he felt that his earlier sense of irrational urgency was somewhat inexplicable.

They snapped back to reality from their previous daze a moment later. 

The remarkably attractive couple was entwined in an embrace, seemingly unwilling to part for 

even a moment. 

The man tenderly kissed the top of the girl’s head. They were clearly a couple deeply in love and blissfully happy. 

Unexpectedly, Aurelia found herself thinking back to the kiss she had shared with Matthew earlier. 

Contrary to his usual aloof demeanor, that recent kiss was fervent and passionate. 

If they were both at the hotel, they would certainly have been unable to control themselves. 

As she thought of her fancy thoughts, a heavy feeling settled in Aurelia’s heart. 

The kiss they just shared sent her emotions wandering into an uncontrollable space. 

When it was finally their turn to take photos, Aurelia handed her phone to Matthew. “Can you take a few pictures for me?”

Under the night’s ambient lighting, a woman in a fiery red long dress stood out. Her long hair fluttered in the wind with a radiant smile. Her skin was fairer than snow, and she was so beautiful that it was impossible to look away. 

It was as if time had frozen in that very moment. 

Matthew gazed intensely at the woman with his deep–set eyes.
