Bianca curled her toes against the floor, wishing she could dig a hole and bury herself in it.

“And you’re still talking about it. I’m ignoring you now!”

Steven burst out laughing.

He walked over and collapsed onto the couch.

He was seriously exhausted.

It was already almost four o’clock.

“Bianca, I’m hungry. I still haven’t eaten lunch.”

“Wait right there. I’ll make something for you right away.”

“Just let Echo handle it. You don’t need to bother.”

“I did. She’s a girl around my age, and she’s pretty easy to get along with.”

Steven pursed his lips. “Then let’s head back. We still have class tomorrow.”

Bianca looked at him worriedly. “Are you really okay?”

Steven smiled and shook his head. “I’m fine, don’t worry. I’m just a little tired. One night of sleep and I’ll be okay. You should hurry and eat too. Just treat it as dinner. I’ll rest for a bit, then we’ll head back to the academy.”

“Okay.” Bianca nodded obediently.

Steven lay on the couch resting.
