“Be good and wait for me. If I come back too late, just head to the academy first.”
Bianca stood there in a daze for a long time.
“I–I’ll wait for you to come back… No matter how late it is…”
But Steven had already left.
Bianca felt like her heart was blooming.
Shyly squeezing her hands together, she thought this feeling was simply wonderful.
The two of them really felt like a young married couple.
But soon, her gaze turned determined.
She had to grow stronger as quickly as possible!
There was still an entire day left.
Finished
“I’m already Level 2, and I haven’t even told you yet. Just wait, I’ll definitely become stronger very soon!”
Bianca muttered to herself.
After breakfast, she immediately ran off to absorb divine crystals and continue evolving.
Darlene drove Steven toward the western side of the city at top speed.
“I can’t believe the academy actually gave that villa to Bianca,” Darlene said in surprise.
Steven laughed. “I’m enjoying the benefits too.”
Darlene smiled bitterly.
“Hurry and check the mission details. This Divine Barrier stake will depend on you.”
Steven’s expression became serious. “Copy that! Leave it to me! As long as I’m alive, the stake stands!”
“Peter gave you his spear. It’s a B–Rank spear, better than the one you were using before.”
“Got it. He just wants to feel involved, right?”
Peter’s voice immediately came through the earpiece.
“Involved my ass! Just be careful and don’t die out there!”
Steven laughed. “Relax. Just sit back and enjoy the show.”
“I’m serious. Check the mission details yourself,” Peter said gravely.

Chapter 90 Guarding the Divine Barrier
As Steven reviewed the mission information, other teammates‘ voices sounded through the comms.
“Steven, if you’re in danger, call me. I’ll take care of you!” That was Danny.
Steven smiled. “Alright then. I won’t be shy to ask when the time comes.”
Then came Captain Greenwood’s voice.
“Nicole, stay closer to Steven and give more support on his side.”
Fimshed
“Got it.” Nicole from the long–range assassination team still sounded cold as ice, like a distant beauty carved from frost.
Steven looked over the mission report, and his expression changed slightly.
“Armored Burrow Beasts appeared this time?”
Darlene nodded, her expression heavy.
Then Olivia’s voice came through the earpiece.
“This beast invasion includes Armored Burrow Beasts assisting the attack. That means Bloodfang Rats, Ghost–Faced Spiders, and many other low–level beasts will appear in large numbers. The scale of this invasion is much bigger than last time.
“But don’t panic. The military has already dispatched reinforcements, and many Awakened Squads are moving out as well. We only need to protect our assigned area.
“This is probably going to be a hard battle.”
Voices of acknowledgment sounded through the comms one after another.
Steven answered as well.
Looking at the mission details again, he saw…
Bloodfang Rats, Ghost–Faced Spiders, Armored Burrow Beasts, and Iron Devouring Ant…
This really was going to be a brutal fight.
The moment they arrived at the designated area in the Divine Barriers activating in the distance.
He landed on the ground.
“Arrived at designated position!”
“Arrived!”
“Arrived!”
Alan’s voice rang out.
“Activate the Divine Barrier!”
17:58 Thu, Jun 11 MM.
Steven activated the Divine Barrier stake. A towering beam of light shot into the sky, linking together with the other pillars nearby.
Would other events change because of that, too?

Chapter 90 Guarding the Divine Barrier
Steven could not figure it out.
Just then…
“Rearguards! A large group of level 1 beasts is heading toward the Divine Barrier stakes! Prepare for battle!”
“Copy!”
“Nicole, support Steven immediately!”
“Copy. Moving closer now.”
A sharp light flashed in Steven’s eyes.
He tightened his grip on the spear and prepared himself.
Sure enough, less than two minutes later, several level 1 beasts appeared ahead of him.
It was the Armored Burrow Beasts and the Iron Devouring Ants.
A cold killing intent flashed through Steven’s eyes.
He activated the power of his Wind–Fire Divine Sigil.
“Kill!”
Instead of waiting, he charged forward first.
His spear swept through the air as he rushed straight into the beast horde.
His strength had already increased tremendously.
Combined with the 40 percent enhancement from his battle armor, he now possessed the equivalent of 70 points of strength.
More than enough to completely crush these level 1 beasts.
With one swing of the spear, an Iron Devouring Ant’s head instantly exploded into pieces.
