Chapter 66 The Old Man Collects His Debt
Finished
“An SSS–rank–get her, and you’ll be the man who restores the Fraser name. Your future would be beyond imagination.”
Elliot’s gaze hardened with resolve.
A slow, predatory smile spread across his face. “Don’t worry, Dad. I’ll make it happen.”
Rowan nodded. “Whatever you need, the family is behind you. Full support.”
Elliot nodded. “Got it!”
His eyes glittered with dark intent as a wolfish grin curved his lips. Bianca, you’re going to be mine.
In the alley.
Three of the Celestial Army’s most feared lieutenant generals lay sprawled on the ground, faces battered and swollen, blood seeping from the corners of their mouths.
Pure terror filled their eyes.
Who could have imagined that the stooped little old man who hadn’t left the house all day was this kind of monster?
All three men had come within a hair of dying.
Brian stood over them, hunched and unassuming, yet radiating a menace that pressed against their chests like a physical weight.
His voice was flat and cold. “I just beat the three of you. Any complaints?”
All three shook their heads with frantic obedience. “None. None at all.”
“If I killed the three of you right now, do you think anyone would come after you over your death?” Brian served Wyatt’s own words right back to him.
Wyatt didn’t dare breathe a single word of protest.
“Sir, I was wrong. I was arrogant and out of line. Please, forgive me.”
“Hmph!” Brian’s snort was frigid. “Do you know what to tell your superiors when you report back?”
Wyatt nodded frantically, as obedient as a whipped dog. Not a shred of his earlier bravado remained.
“Yes, sir. We’ll say Bianca White declined, and there was nothing we could do. We won’t breathe a word about you.”
Brian gave one last contemptuous snort. “Get lost.”
The three men scrambled to their feet and fled as though the devil himself were chasing them. If this escalated any further, a being at this level could kill all three of them without so much as a raised eyebrow.

Brian watched them run with an expression of total indifference, then vanished in a blink, reappearing inside the house without making a sound.
In the courtyard.
It took Steven a long time to recover.
“Steven, are you okay?”
He shook his head. “Fine. Just a little tired.”
He didn’t want Bianca to worry.
“What did that general mean about coming to get us in three days?”
Steven didn’t know how to answer.
Brian emerged from the house.
“Stop worrying. Just go to the academy, and everything will be fine. They can’t take you anywhere. Once you’re enrolled, the academy will protect you.”
Steven’s eyes lit up. Of course–go straight to the academy. The academy would shield them.
Brian was back to his usual kindly–old–man act. Though, to be fair, he only ever looked that way around Bianca.
“Time to start dinner. We’ve got quite the haul today–you’re all in for a treat.”
He gathered some ingredients and started cooking.

“The moment you and Bianca enroll, you’ll have unlimited resources, your pick of any weapons or equipment, unrestricted access to every training facility–and the villa is ready to go.
Frank leaned in, his voice conspiratorial. “The villa is extremely low–profile right now. If you want to avoid dealing with any more visitors, you could move in immediately.”
He said this, clearly, because he was terrified that more people would show up and change their minds.
Steven nodded. “We were thinking the same thing. We’ll probably move in tomorrow or the day after and get registered at the academy as soon as possible.”
Frank couldn’t contain his grin.
“Excellent!
“If there’s anything at all you need, just contact me. I’ll be there in a heartbeat.”
Steven chuckled ruefully. VIP treatment was something else.
Frank stood to leave.
“Frank, stay for dinner.”
“Oh no, I couldn’t possibly-”
“Come on, it’s dinnertime. Don’t be a stranger.”
Steven grabbed his arm before he could escape.
Brian appeared with a platter of food, heading for the courtyard.
The old man smiled. “Join us. It’s just one extra set of cutlery.”
Frank couldn’t refuse their hospitality. He stayed for dinner, and by the time the meal was over, the distance between them had shrunk considerably.
