Chapter 490 Hiding the Blade

Robby couldn’t quite

“But the light you showed earlier was clearly blue-green.

+5 Pearls

Steven gave the answer he’d already rehearsed. “I like playing weak to catch people off guard.”

Robby was quict for a long monient, then let out a wry laugh. “Good. To have that kind of restraint at your age, to keep a blade like that sheathed. Good. Excellent. That means Rowenville has actually produced two SSS-rank Awakened.”

Steven nodded.

Robby could barely contain himself. How many SSS-rank Awakened had Orreux produced this year? Two. And tiny little Rowenville had also produced two. It was almost top much to take in

He swept a hand through the air. “Alright. I’m making the call right now. Orroux Academy will cover all the resources you need to advance through Four-Sigil. Four million per level? Ten levels are only 40 million.”

Then he stopped. Something caught up to him.

“Wait. How much did you say it costs you to advance a single level?”

His eyes went wide, refusing to believe it.

Candy and Justine had already done the math and were still reeling from that four-million figure.

Four million was insane. They were both SS-rank, and a single level cost them six or seven hundred thousand. Above them, aside from Jacques, who’d just been put on the ground, there were two SSS-rank monsters who rarely showed their faces, and even they only needed about eight hundred and some thousand per level. Steven needed four million.

Steven rubbed his nose. “Four million four hundred thousand, to be exact. And it’s going to keep climbing, because I’m breaking past the limits of the body itself.”

Robby’s breathing went ragged. A Four-Sigil Divine Knight needs four million four hundred thousand divine crystals per level. What did that even mean?

He’d never seen it. Never, not once.

He turned to Alan in disbelief. Alan nodded. “It’s not exaggerated. I’ll vouch for it on the credit of Team Ashen.”

Robby was floored. “I genuinely can’t imagine someone pushing the Four-Sigil Divine Knight stage to that kind of extreme. No wonder you took Jacques apart that easily.”

He swept his hand again. “Alright. I’m making the call. Orroux Academy will cover both of your evolution resources. Since you say you’re still breaking your limits, I’ll budget five million per level for you, plus normal expenses on top, and give you a hundred million low-level divine crystals up front. That’s the equivalent of ten thousand high-level divine crystals.

“The only question is Bianca. Is the Tier-3 Awakened Tournament really appropriate for her? Is she Four- Sigil yet?”

He watched them go, the corner of his mouth lifting. Today had been an unexpected haul. Ten thousand high-level divine crystals out of Jacques, plus resources and combat art support from Orroux Academy. He could stop worrying about resources for a while,

Greyson chuckled. “Based on what you just showed me, you’ve genuinely earned the name of Martial Master. Even my eyes can’t keep up with yours.”

Only now did Steven really take a proper look at Greyson, the first Martial Master Orroux had ever produced.

He was the real thing.

When Steven’s Eye of Insight settled on him, it felt like standing at the edge of a vast, boundless sea of martial energy. The invisible pressure that rolled off him made the soul tremble. He’d earned that title and earned it well.

Steven inclined his head respectfully. “You flatter me, Mr. Stone. I’m still far off. I haven’t even reached Unity of Weapon and Man yet. Nowhere close.”

Greyson shook his head. “I can see it. What’s keeping you from Unity of Weapon and Man is the accumulation of martial arts; that’s all. With the academy opening its combat art archive to you, and a freak talent like yours, it won’t be long.”
