The inheritance had begun.
Steven reunited with the team.
The moment Bianca saw him alive and well, she threw herself into his arms.
Her voice was thick with barely suppressed tears.
Steven stroked her hair. “Silly girl. I’m fine, see? Don’t worry.
Bianca refused to let go.
Steven felt the softness pressed against his chest and decided to just hold her for now.
Alan asked, “What happened? What about the Mountain–Shifter Ape?”
Steven said with a grin, “I’ll tell you on the move. Let’s clear out. I’ve picked this area clean.”
Everyone nodded.
Steven took Bianca’s hand, and they set off together.
On the road, Steven recounted everything.
Everyone was stunned.
‘A level 6 Mountain–Shifter Ape, obliterated with a single slap? Reduced to a serving of monkey brain?” Olivia said in disbelief.
Steven nodded. “An absolutely terrifying existence.”
Nobody could find words.
A hermit this powerful, living deep in the mountains…
That was seriously unbelievable.
Alan asked, “You don’t know why she spared you?”
“She healed my injuries and gave me three spirit fruits to compensate for the destroyed armor.”
Alan nodded. “As long as you’re safe. And it sounds like you came out ahead.”
Steven smiled. “She also taught me a technique for processing beast meat. We might be able to eat beasts
as a resource.”
Alan nodded. “Let’s get moving first.”

Olivia and Fiona each received over a dozen spirit fruits.
Steven kept the Greenlight Fruit for himself and gave away everything else.
The three special fruits from Scarlett were tucked away safely–he couldn’t use them yet.
Fiona asked, “Shouldn’t we save some for Peter and the others?”
Alan shook his head. “Use them. You need to level up as fast as possible. Peter’s group can wait until we’re back in Orroux. Your strength is the top priority right now. Go` evolve.”
They didn’t argue. They turned and got to work immediately. Before long, the sourds of agonized screaming filled the camp.
