Reborn: Apocalypse Ready. War Goddess by My Side novel Chapter 397

Chapter 397 A Captain’s Warning

“Annoying.”

Alistair and the others froze where they stood.

Even the members of Team Ashen widened their eyes.

Captain Alankilled Kevin?

Just like that?

Steven stood there, momentarily stunned.

So this is what decisive killing looks like?

Alistair’s pupils shrank, fear surging through him.

“Alan!

“Have you lost your mind?”

The members of Warstar Squad felt a chill crawl up their spines.

This is bad.

This has just gotten huge.

James is going to go insane.

Alan said coldly, “We’re leaving.”

Steven didn’t say anything, just followed behind Alan.

Team Ashen walked away without a second glance at the stunned Warstar Squad.

Alistair was still dazed.

“Captain, we’re just letting them go? When James hears about this, he’ll take it out on us.”

“We have to do something. They only have one Divine General. We can take them!”

Alistair’s face darkened.

“Do you even understand? If we fight, all nine of us die here.”

The nine of them were instantly shaken.

“No way!”

“Captain, is he that intimidating?

Alistair snapped, “Do you even know who he is? That’s Alan Greenwood!”

Most of them looked confused.

But soon, two of the Divine Generals seemed to realize something, their expressions turning grim.

“Captain… you mean the Alan Greenwood from a few years back? The one who crushed the entire younger generation in Orroux? The one who beat the hell out of William?”

Alistair looked at them. “Who else do you think would carry that name?”

Hearing that, the two fell silent, shock written all over their faces.

“It’s him…”

They stared in the direction Alan had left, unable to speak.

The remaining six were still confused. They didn’t know much about the higher circles.

But they had heard that one line.

The one who beat the hell out of William.

There were three Awakened squads in Orroux ranked on the official list, and William’s Soulreaver Team was one of them.

William himself was the vice captain of that team.

Among all the Awakened Squads in Orroux, his individual strength was easily top five.

Everyone in Orroux knew who he was.

And someone like that had once been completely overpowered by Alan.

Everyone was stunned.

“He wasted three years, and he’s still this strong?”

“But we did kill him,” Peter said.

Olivia shook her head. “Doesn’t matter. There’s already bad blood between them. If it comes to a fight, then we fight.”

Peter, Danny, and Louie nodded.

Edric, Fiona, Nicole, and Steven didn’t even ask.

The man was dead.

There was nothing left to discuss.

If trouble came, they would have to deal with it.

Alan finally spoke, his tone cold. “Do you see the gap between the Orroux squads and us?

“That Warstar Squad is only top 20 in Orroux. They have 5 Divine Generals, 5 Divine Knights.

“Forget the top five teams. If you don’t improve, there may come a day when I have to remove you from Team Ashen.”

The group stiffened.

Their expressions dimmed.

For those once singled out by Brian, their A–rank talent was already considered exceptional.

They had worked hard. But it still wasn’t enough to keep up.

Olivia’s expression changed. “Captain Alan.”

Alan shook his head. “Things are only going to get more dangerous. If it comes down to watching you die in s front of me, I’d rather send you back or put you in the rear lines.”
