Bianca grinned, a little sheepish. “Yeah, that does sound like a lot. Guess we’ve actually been pretty lucky.”

Steven shot back with a laugh, “What do you mean, luck? We’re a perfect match.”

Bianca chimed in, “Then what kind of luck did you have to meet Darlene?”

“Hahaha! Peter, guess she’s talking back to you now!” Danny said, his tone dripping with mock envy.

Peter muttered under his breath.

Just as his voice trailed off.

Peter suddenly shouted, “Holy shit! A head… a human head!”

Everyone froze.

“It’s just a head. What’s there to freak out about?” Louie said.

Darlene’s breathing quickened. “It’s a meteorite fragment… about the size of a human head!”

In an instant, everyone’s expression changed.

“Where is it?”

Peter took a deep breath.

“A level 3 Shadow Wolf’s carrying it… the thing spotted me, and it’s running!”

“I’ve got it! You guys keep searching!”

Steven spoke up, “Be careful. Shadow Wolves are fast by nature. Don’t get careless.”

“Relax. I’ve got this. I can take it down!”

Peter didn’t hesitate.

The third Divine Sigil on his body flared, erupting with terrifying light as lightning crackled around him.
