Reborn: Apocalypse Ready. War Goddess by My Side novel Chapter 349

Chapter 349 Honey Trap

Steven sat on a bench tucked into the tree line.

He held the divine crystal tight in his grip, letting its power seep into him and fuel his evolution

At the same time, he kept nurturing the ember of his Bloodsun crystal, slow and steady.

He could feel it clearly now. That spark was growing, just a little more with every passing moment.

Finished

The Eye of Insight let him lock away every detail in his memory, and even the most advanced techniques came to him with almost no effort at all.

The Bloodsun crystal, though, demanded patience. He had to cultivate it himself, one careful step at a time.

There was no way to rush it. But given everything working in his favor, he was confident that mastering the Bloodsun path would come far easier to him than it ever would to anyone else.

It didn’t take long before a wave of noisy chatter broke through the quiet of the trees.

It wasn’t Autumn’s voice. It belonged to an entirely different group of girls.

They were dressed in barely anything at all, clothes so skimpy they might as well have skipped the effort entirely.

Every plunging neckline and every long, pale leg was on full, deliberate display.

They looked like sirens straight out of some old myth, the kind sailors warned each other about.

They strolled in acting as though stumbling across him here was nothing but pure chance.

“Oh my gosh, you’re Steven!”

“Look, you guys! It’s Steven! Our dream guy!”

Steven met their excitement with nothing but a cold, flat stare.

He’d already caught the falseness sitting just beneath their expressions.

All five girls came rushing toward him at once.

The one leading the pack even pulled the oldest trick in the book, pretending to twist her ankle.

She lunged straight for his arms.

“Oh no!”

Steven watched that heavy chest come barreling straight toward him.

He shifted to the side in a single fluid motion and let it sail right past him.

He wasn’t about to give them an opening.

14:48 Tue, Jun 23 M

The memory of Steven beating Landon senseless that morning was still painfully fresh in their minds, and getting shot didn’t sound like a risk worth taking.

Guilt over their own scheme probably had something to do with it too. Every single one of them scrambled to flee.

Steven’s expression stayed locked in that same cold mask.

Yeah, he thought, next time something like this comes up, I’d shut it down even faster. He had no interest in wasting any more time on this nonsense.

Steven waited a little while longer.

Autumn finally showed up, fashionably late as always.

She already knew those other girls had struck out completely.

That just meant it was on her now, and she was still lost somewhere deep in her own little fantasy.

Honestly, even she found herself a bit confused. Steven and Bianca were on the verge of breaking up last time. And yet here he was, stirring up this much commotion all over again.

Maybe they’d patched things up.

Still, that just proved their relationship wasn’t as unbreakable as it seemed. There was still a crack
