Reborn: Apocalypse Ready. War Goddess by My Side novel Chapter 287

Chapter 287 If Only He Were Here

But Quentin soon realized that no matter how much power he unleashed, or how much strength he used. Steven’s hand stayed firmly on his shoulder. He couldn’t break free from his grip.

Steven sneered. “You seem pretty upset that I’m not dead.”

Then he turned to Oscar.

“You were the one who called me a bastard just now, weren’t you?”

Oscar swallowed, deep fear rising in his chest.

This monster had already beaten a Two–Sigil fighter a month ago. Oscar knew that there was no way he could take him on. Even Quentin was pinned in place and could not move.

Oscar spoke, his voice trembling, “What… what do you want? This is the academy.”

Steven sneered.

Then he slapped Oscar hard across the face.

The slap cracked through the air, and Oscar lost consciousness instantly.

Blood sprayed out from his mouth, along with his front teeth that had only recently been fixed.

His entire body flew more than thirty feet away before crashing to the ground, where he passed out on the Spot

The nearby students were stunned.

Was someone fighting?

Steven looked at Quentin.

“What about you?”

Quentin gulped. “Steven, don’t get too arrogant. My family…”

But when he saw the icy look in Steven’s eyes and felt the growing pain on his shoulder, Quentin immediately backed down.

“If I said I was joking just now, would you believe me?”

Steven gave a soft snort. “Sure.”

“Let me ask you something. Is your cousin dead?”

Quentin’s expression darkened, and he shook his head.

Steven nodded. “Looks like your family does have some skill.”

Quentin’s expression relaxed slightly.

Chapter 287 If Only He Were Here

He was just about to speak when Steven leaned close to his ear and spoke in a low, chilling voice. “Run your mouth in front of me again, and I’ll crush you.”

Then Steven slapped him across the face.

With a loud crack. Quentin was sent flying as well, along with his front teeth.

Steven let out a cold snort. Quentin really thought he was something.

Steven turned and left. After asking a few students, he learned that Bianca had been spending a lot of time at the Intermediate Hunting Ground lately, fighting like crazy.

Steven rushed over without stopping.

Bianca, you really didn’t listen to me. I told you to pace yourself.

Looks like I’ll have to punish you properly tonight.

Leaving you with just swollen lips probably won’t be enough this time

After Steven left, the students around him were still in shock.

That damn nobody!

I’m not going to let him get away with this!

Did Spencer lie to us?

Did Spencer’s men really kill him?

Abigail snorted quietly to herself.

Steven was just a Brank nobody. If he was dead, then he was dead. No matter what, there was no evidence linking anything to her family.

Abigail snapped. “Elliot, stop making baseless accusations. I know what you’re after. You’re doing all this just to get on Bianca’s good side, aren’t you? You want to play the good guy, so you’re dragging my family’s name through the mud? You’re the disgusting one here. At least I’m honest about what I want. Drop those nasty little ideas of yours. Bianca would never like someone like you.”

Elliot sneered. “Keep denying it. Steven’s disappearance definitely has something to do with your family. You’d better stay away from Bianca.”

Abigail ignored him. There was no point arguing with him.

Without proof. it was meaningless.

She could settle things with Elliot later.

“Bianca, don’t listen to Elliot’s nonsense. We absolutely didn’t do anything like that. Bianca, I love you. You have to believe me.”

Bianca had had enough of all this.

A terrifying wave of flame–like energy erupted from her body.

“Say one more word, and you die!” Bianca said, her voice icy.

Abigail went right back to being shameless. She spread her arms out again.

“If you want to kill me, then do it. I won’t fight back.”

Bianca felt so angry and helpless that she almost wanted to cry. She really did not know what to do.

If only Steven were here

At that moment, Bianca was still lost in a daze, while Abigail stood with her arms spread and her eyes closed, waiting for Bianca to strike.

Then, a figure shot toward them with terrifying speed and force.
