Chapter 239 Rejected
“Please be my friend I’m really asking nicely here.”

Abigail’s voice had a quality to it that could dissolve a person’s better judgment entirely, honeyed and warm in a way that bypassed rational thought and went somewhere more visceral.
The male students nearby felt it hit them like a wave.
This woman was a walking, breathing hazard.
Getting caught in her orbit wouldn’t end well for anyone, especially if she was in bed. She had a body to die for, and her looks only amplified her seductive element.
But then something shifted in the room.
People started registering that Abigail was directing the full force of that energy at Bianca.
Wait.
She’s actually going after Bianca?
A wave of collective despair moved through the male students. She was genuinely trying to claim her.
And where’s Steven right now?
Probably off somewhere making himself scarce while Bianca needs defending?
If he wasn’t going to show up, then somebody else was going to have to step in.
Bianca looked at Abigail with an expression caught somewhere between confusion and mild concern.
“You’re kind of strange, aren’t you? Shouldn’t you be doing this with a guy? I don’t have any particular urge to pin you down the way a guy would.”
The silence that followed was absolute.
Abigail froze completely.
The watching students collectively struggled not to make a sound.
“She’s too adorable. The queen is too adorable.”
“That might be the most endearing thing she’s ever said. She has this completely guileless side to her.
Bianca blinked at Abigail with those cool, slightly remote eyes, and the contrast between her expression and the words she’d just said was so perfect it bordered on comedic.
A brief flush crossed Abigail’s checks before she could stop it.
Is this girl actually this straightforward?

Chapter 234 Rejected
Bianca turned to leave.
Abigail adjusted in real time and stepped back in front of her, soft and imploring.
“You really won’t even give me a chance? I’m not a bad choice, you know. I’m SS–rank.” Abigail’s eyes fluttered with practiced sweetness.
Bianca’s expression stayed completely flat.
“I’m not interested.
Abigail felt a small, internal shift.
Soft approach isn’t going to cut it.
Bianca took another step to leave.
“Hold on, Bianca. I have something I need to say to you.”
Bianca’s brow creased slightly.
Something about this girl was mildly irritating in a way Bianca couldn’t quite name.
“Say it fast. I’m busy.”
Abigail glanced around at the people nearby with an expression of exaggerated shyness.
Then she reached into her spatial converter, produced a bouquet of flowers in an instant, and dropped to one knee.
“Bianca, I like you. I really, genuinely like you. Please go out with me. What do men even have to offer? Come date me instead.”
Dead silence swallowed the entire area. She wasn’t even trying to be subtle about it.
Every student in the vicinity stared with their eyes at maximum width.

Abigail knelt in front of Bianca with the flowers extended and a luminous, bashful expression on her face.
Students in the back were already pulling out their devices and going live.
A few of the male students were privately anxious now. Bianca isn’t going to fall for this, is she?
Wait, did they already…
Steven, you mongrel!
Nobody had even seen him around in a while.
Where is he? We’ll tear him apart!
The male students were seething, and their grievances were entirely personal.
Bianca was too wonderful, and she’d been claimed too fast. This was a loss felt across the entire brotherhood.
Abigail absorbed the rejection with mild surprise. She’d heard from multiple sources that Bianca was deeply attached to Steven.
But that was fine. Today was just an opening move. There was still plenty of time to gradually close the
distance.
She knew she could turn this around eventually.

Bianca kept going. “Also, you didn’t even introduce yourself. I have no idea who you are.
“But thank you for the sentiment. I still won’t return your feelings.”
Bianca dropped the sentence and walked away, already feeling the phantom crawl of lingering discomfort across her skin.
She was definitely telling Steven about this.
It was far too mortifying to keep to herself.
Abigail took the rejection with full composure and immediately fell into step behind her.
“I didn’t leave out my name on purpose, I promise.
“I was worried you’d already have the wrong impression of me.”
Bianca kept walking with her expression neutral, focused entirely on creating as much distance between herself and this person as quickly as possible.
