Chapter 114 Ten Beasts, One Victor

The news exploded through the freshman class almost instantly.

It was only after they walked out of the building that Seamus and the others finally came back to their

senses.

“Steven…” Seamus stared at him blankly. “Was that really Level 5?”

Steven smiled calmly. “No. Level 1.”

The three of them froze for half a second before jumping on him at once.

“I’m sticking with you from now on!”

“Steven! You’re a freaking legend!”

“You have to be the reincarnation of Cornelius Hillington!”

The three idiots threw themselves at him like starving wolves. Steven could only laugh while they shouted nonsense around him. It took forever before they finally settled down.

Since they had left ahead of the crowd, the four of them went out for lunch first. The cafeteria was almost empty, so they did not even need to wait in line.

After eating, they headed straight back to the dorms.

At the same time, news about a B–rank freshman reaching a Level 5 combat rating spread through the academy like wildfire.

Someone uploaded it to the school forum. There was even a photo attached.

“B–Rank Freshman Achieves Level 5 Combat Rating!!!”

The picture showed Steven standing with a spear in hand, his back facing the camera.

Very soon, the news reached the S–Class students.

The entire S–Class fell silent.

Is this for real? You call that a malfunction?

But there was already a confirmed Level 5 result on the S–Class side. Now a B–rank had also reached Level 5. It was legit.

What shocked them even more was how Steven got that result. He had fought ten Level 1 beasts by himself at the same time.

That result felt like another hard slap across everyone’s faces.

Still calling it fake? Is that even possible?

A whole group of S–rank and above Awakened had lost to Steven in the combat rating.

And Steven had done it while fighting ten beasts alone.

The gap between them was impossible to measure now,

Spushed

Maybe Level 5 was only the highest score the system could display. But nobody believed that was Steven’s true limit.

Penelope stayed quiet for a moment. Those kids should finally believe it.

Meanwhile, Lilliana and Elliot pulled long faces.

Steven had surpassed them.

But he was only a Brank. How could he do this?

How could he possibly do something like this?

Off in the corner, Quentin let out a cold snort. So what?

Lilliana hated seeing Steven stand above her.

But at the same time, her heart felt strangely empty.

Had she really judged him wrong this whole time?

But no matter how she thought about it, he was still only a B–rank

One by one, the students turned to look at Bianca.

Bianca only smiled brightly. She grabbed her roommate and walked away without even bothering to look at anyone else.

Steven had already asked her not to care about outside opinions. She only needed to focus on herself.

Not one of us could beat Steven?

Lilliana could hardly believe it. Steven used to be so ordinary. How had he changed this much in such a short time?

It really was him.

It had to be him.

A freshman who had only recently gone through Divine Awakening was actually a member of Ashen.

Vita had seen it with her own eyes. Steven had killed a Level 2 beast.

Compared to that, taking down ten Level 1 beasts was nothing.

Meanwhile, all those foolish S–ranks had kept mocking him.

The truth was, Steven simply could not be bothered arguing with them.

Vita’s emotions were in chaos. How could someone this monstrous even exist?

A newly awakened one–sigil fighter had killed Level 2 Ghost–Faced Spiders.

What kind of terrifying combat strength was that?

No wonder Bianca had fallen for him so deeply.

Vita hesitated for a moment. Lilliana seemed to have some history with Steven. Maybe she should ask about it later.

After all, they were roommates.

The students who had mocked Steven earlier all lowered their heads in shame.

None of them had the nerve to say another word

Penelope let out a soft sigh.

“You may not be able to beat him now, but that doesn’t mean you never will. Work harder.”

She looked at the stunned students around her. “Now you understand, don’t you? There’s always someone stronger out there.”
