Stella knew Drake's real name was Drake Hale; Julius had helped her look into his background back then.
What she couldn't figure out was, if that anonymous email really was sent by Leon Hale, why hadn't he sent it right after he escaped North Myanor? Why wait so many years?
And how did he know her email address?
What exactly had happened in the meantime?
"Grandpa, did you ever give Leon my email address?"
Actually, to be precise, it wasn't her email address—it was her mother's. She had only been ten years old at the time; why would she have had her own email?
When her mother died, her last wishes entrusted Frederick to treat her well and raise her properly.
Little did she know, after she passed, her daughter wasn't just neglected by Frederick—she was downright abused.
After her death, her daughter got absolutely nothing, except perfectly inheriting that email address.
Dewey naturally knew his own daughter's email. Under certain circumstances, it was entirely possible he had shared it with Leon, a man who had gone through hell with him.
Dewey thought for a moment before saying, "I think I might have messaged it to him once. I don't really remember."
After losing and regaining his memory, his brain wasn't as sharp as it used to be.
"Grandpa, don't overthink it. If he really sent the email, it proves he successfully escaped North Myanor. He's alive, which means you didn't save him for nothing."
Her grandfather was back by her side now, safe and sound. Everything had worked out for the best, and nothing could be better.
She just didn't know what had happened to Leon after his escape from North Myanor, or why he hadn't returned to O-City to find his son.
Drake had spent a tremendous amount of effort searching for his father.
Dewey sighed. "Yes, I hope he's doing well."
