Vincent didn't budge, just looking at Scarlett, "If you come back, I can act like none of this ever happened, and tomorrow's wedding can..."
Scarlett let out a scoff at his offer, "Pass."
With that, she gave Vincent a hard shove and turned toward Theron Manor.
Just then, Damian grabbed her wrist from behind, bringing her steps to a sudden halt.
Stopping right next to Vincent, Damian turned to face him, "Too little, too late, Vincent. Save the cheap drama—Scarlett belongs to me now."
The words hit Vincent like a bolt of lightning, freezing him in place as a heavy, dark look washed over his face.
Right on cue, his phone started ringing in his coat pocket.
His mind went completely blank, yet his hand reached inside anyway to pull out the phone.
Before he could even glance at the caller ID, the ringtone cut off into missed call status.
But Damian caught the name on the screen—it was Sabrina, saved as Sab.
Damian offered a mock-polite reminder, "Hey, man to man, your wedding's tomorrow—you should probably return that call instead of keeping your bride waiting."
Without waiting for Vincent's reaction, Damian took Scarlett's hand and led her straight into the front courtyard.
Watching them walk away together, a sharp pain pierced Vincent's chest like a thousand needles.
He stood frozen, unable to process the blow as endless memories of Scarlett's devotion flashed through his mind.
She used to cater to every demand of the Stewarts, waking up at dawn on his dad's birthday to spend all day preparing a massive family dinner.
She would even sit up in the main foyer all night, just to greet him the second he stepped through the door.
Yet present-day Scarlett wouldn't bother doing any of that ever again.
She was truly letting go of him, piece by piece.
Scarlett and Damian walked into the main hall holding hands.
The moment they stepped inside, they bumped right into Nathan, who was already looking their way.
