No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 832

Damian's words always tug at Scarlett's heart without even trying.

As she replayed his line in her head, a jealous question slipped out before she could hold it back. "Does that mean you've had other women before me?"

The second the words left her mouth, she caught the sharp, envious undertone in them—but what's said can't be taken back.

Damian never once took his eyes off her face. His expression turned solemn, earnest as he spoke slowly, "Scarlett, I'll only say this once. I've never loved another woman besides you, and I've never been intimate with anyone else. Past, present, and future—only you. For the rest of my life, you're the only woman I'll love, the only one I'll ever be with."

He stared straight at her, every word heavy with complete sincerity.

Scarlett met his gaze through the screen and offered him a soft, gentle smile. "Thank you for loving me, Damian."

The tender look on her face melted his heart completely.

After a beat, he asked tentatively, "Call me honey for me?"

Scarlett froze, her lips parting, yet she couldn't bring herself to say it. It wasn't the right time, not yet.

She spoke earnestly, "I won't hold back when the moment's right."

Unlike every other time she'd brushed him off, this time she'd given him a real answer. A warm, soft smile spread across Damian's face. "Get some sleep then. I've still got a little work to finish."

"Alright." She propped her phone against the headboard, positioning it so he could see her whole face clearly.

Damian muted his phone to keep from waking her.

She'd worn herself out the night before, plus two more rounds earlier that day. Her limbs felt heavy and weak the second her head hit the pillow. She yawned twice and quickly drifted into a deep sleep.

Damian wrapped up his work and turned to glance at the screen, drinking in the sight of her curled up peacefully on her side. She looked so soft and sweet, and his heart turned to mush.

He couldn't focus on his tasks anymore. He held the phone close to his face and pressed a gentle kiss to the screen where her cheek rested, his voice thick with adoration. "I love you, Scarlett."

Did our night together leave such a vivid imprint on my mind that I'm imagining him everywhere? And now I'm even mistaking others for him?

She rubbed her eyes hard, yet the figure in the kitchen was still unmistakably Damian.

Just as confusion washed over her, he spun around, his gaze soft and full of love, wrapping her entirely in his warm stare.

Before she could think, the question spilled out. "How did you get here so early?"

Water dripped from his palms; he dried them off with a towel before reaching out to pinch her cheek lightly. "We agreed we'd go shopping for the wedding outfits today, remember?"

Scarlett glanced at the wall clock in the living room—it was barely eight o'clock. She looked back at him in surprise. "It's still so early."

He stepped closer, towering over her, his tone gentle. "I just couldn't wait to see you."

Dark circles hung beneath his eyes, and a twinge of pity tugged at her chest. "Didn't you get any rest last night?"
