No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 822

And then there was Vincent. Damian had hit him last night at Theron Manor. She had no idea if Vincent would try to get back at Damian for it.

While Scarlett was lost in her thoughts, Damian lifted a spoonful of oatmeal to her lips.

"Open up," he said, like he was coaxing a kid.

Scarlett snapped out of it and looked up at him. And just like that, the memories of last night came flooding back.

Thinking about how wild she had been, her face flushed again.

Damian noticed and smiled. A quiet sense of triumph filled his chest.

He had won her over.

She opened her mouth and ate what he fed her.

He took care of everything. It made her feel safe.

Last night, her mind had wandered to dark places.

What if Damian was only being this good to her because he wanted something?

Men always wanted to conquer what they couldn't have. And maybe she was just that to him—the thing he hadn't gotten yet. Not because she was beautiful or special. Just because she was out of reach.

So once he had her, would he change?

But Damian hadn't changed. He was the same as before, even more attentive.

Scarlett ate her oatmeal, but her mind kept spinning.

Seeing how worried she looked, Damian leaned in when she wasn't paying attention and kissed a speck of oatmeal from her lip.

She blinked and found him looking at her with that playful glint in his eye.

She glared at him, trying to sound mad. "What are you doing?"

Damian licked his lips, savoring the taste. Then he grinned, "Just remembering how it felt last night. Your lips were sweet."

Scarlett couldn't help but snap at him. "Damian, you have no shame."

His smile turned cocky, triumphant, like he'd just won a war. "Having you is worth more than a little shame."

This time, even her ears burned. "You... stop talking."

But she had been thinking about last night too.

Her body was weak, but her mind kept drifting back. She had been satisfied in every way. So of course she kept replaying it.

Damian saw how shy she was. He turned and set the bowl on the nightstand. When he turned back, he climbed onto the bed.

Scarlett looked at him, alarmed. "Damian, what are you doing?"

And her own breathing and heartbeat were just as wrecked.

Before she could even think about his question, her body answered for her.

She didn't say anything. She just lifted herself up slightly and kissed his Adam's apple.

That single move hit him harder than any "I want to" ever could.

Damian stopped holding back. He grabbed her waist, pulled off her clothes, then stripped himself bare.

On the white sheets, the heat from the night before continued.

From three to five, two full hours, the sky outside the bedroom window darkened again.

Scarlett lay flat while Damian carefully tucked the blanket around her.

He cleaned himself up, then headed to the bathroom.

About ten minutes later, he came out in a bathrobe.

He hadn't dried his hair. Water dripped from the ends onto the robe, and he didn't even care as he walked to the bed.

Leaning over, he saw Scarlett's eyes were closed, so he kissed her forehead, brushed stray hair from her cheek, and said, "Let me carry you to the bath, okay?"
