No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 757

After hesitating for a moment, Damian finally looked at Brett and said, "Since we already know where the deal is headed, move now. I want that contract locked down before Vincent gets to it. Even if we have to overpay, it doesn't matter."

Brett's expression tightened immediately. "Mr. Langley, are you sure? This could blow back on us."

Damian knew exactly how risky it was.

But when he glanced back at the phone lying on his desk, Scarlett was still asleep on the video call, curled up peacefully beneath the blankets after unconsciously rolling onto her side sometime earlier.

He watched her quietly for several seconds before finally turning back toward Brett.

"If Vincent and I keep dragging this out, neither of us is going to win. We'll just keep burning money and canceling each other out." His voice softened slightly as his eyes returned to Scarlett again. "And honestly, I don't want her stuck waiting anymore."

Brett understood immediately.

He had seen the way Damian looked at Scarlett more times than he could count.

In the end, he nodded. "Alright. I'll handle it."

After Brett left the office, Damian stretched tiredly and reached for his coat, planning to head home.

But suddenly, Scarlett's terrified voice burst through the phone speaker.

"Damian...!"

She sounded trapped in a nightmare.

Her forehead was damp with sweat, and she had bolted upright in bed the second she cried out his name.

Damian immediately sat back down and turned the volume up.

"Scarlett, I'm here," he said quickly, his voice low and steady. "I'm right here. You're okay."

Hearing him, Scarlett turned toward the screen in a daze.

It took her several seconds to focus before she whispered uncertainly, "Damian?"

"Yeah," he said softly. "It's me. We're still on FaceTime. You were dreaming."

Scarlett stared at the screen blankly before finally nodding.

"Right... it was a dream."

Only after noticing her breathing gradually steady again did Damian ask quietly, "What did you dream about?"

Scarlett immediately looked away, her eyes still red.

"Nothing."

She didn't want to tell him.

The dream had felt too real.

In it, Vincent had gotten everything he wanted, while Damian had been dragged into the mess right alongside him.

And in the end, Vincent had people beat Damian to death.

Seeing she clearly didn't want to talk about it, Damian didn't push her.

Instead, he said gently, "Try to get some sleep. I'm heading out soon anyway."

Scarlett lay back down under the covers, but her body still felt tense and overheated from the nightmare.

"Really?" she asked excitedly. "You and Sabrina are finally getting married?"

Vincent smiled softly and nodded. "Yeah. It's real."

Around noon, Vincent brought Vanessa and Sabrina to Stewart Manor.

But after the car stopped in the driveway, Sabrina suddenly hesitated.

She stayed seated inside, clearly nervous about getting out.

Standing outside beside the car, Vanessa tilted her head up at her and said seriously, "Sabrina, you're pretty and nice, so Grandpa's definitely gonna love you. Don't be nervous. And even if he doesn't, Dad and I love you, so that's enough. You're marrying Dad, not the whole family."

That finally made Sabrina laugh.

Sabrina smiled at her softly. "You always know exactly what to say. I'm not nervous anymore."

Then she turned toward Vincent.

He had been watching her quietly the entire time.

Once he saw some of the tension leave her face, he finally reached his hand out toward her.

"Come on," he said softly. "I won't let anyone make you uncomfortable."

Those words settled her nerves more than anything else could have.

Without thinking twice, Sabrina placed her hand into his.

Then the three of them walked into Stewart Manor together, laughing and talking like a real family.
