No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 736

Afraid the Theron family might stop him, Damian immediately followed Sean outside.

Just as Sean was about to get into his car at the front gates of Theron Manor, Damian reached out and stopped him.

Sean slowly turned his head toward him. The moment he realized who it was, he gave a mocking smile.

"What, you need something?"

Damian pulled his hand back, took out a pack of cigarettes, then slid one loose and held it out toward Sean.

"Want one?"

Sean rejected it without hesitation.

"I don't smoke."

Damian laughed softly. "Or you just don't smoke cigarettes from me?"

Sean's expression stayed cold and indifferent.

"Not interested."

Damian stopped paying attention to his attitude after that. He casually lit one for himself instead, and after taking the first drag, he deliberately blew the smoke toward Sean before narrowing his eyes slightly.

"So Nolan's been in love with my wife for years?"

Hearing the words my wife, Sean finally turned fully toward him, his eyes full of contempt.

"Your wife?"

Damian took another slow drag from the cigarette and answered lazily, "Yeah. My wife."

Sean cursed under his breath.

"You've got some nerve."

Damian still didn't get angry. After a moment of silence, he looked at Sean and said, "You think I haven't loved her for years too?"

Sean couldn't have cared less.

"What does that have to do with me?"

Damian finally lost patience.

"Then stop interfering. If Nolan can't make her fall for him, that's between them. Why are you fighting his battles for him?"

Instead of getting angry, Sean let out a cold laugh.

"Because I feel like it. Got a problem with that?"

Damian had never met someone like Sean before. Threats didn't work on him, intimidation didn't work on him, and the more hostile Damian became, the more Sean seemed determined to provoke him.

Realizing there was no point continuing the argument, Damian finally said, "I should head back inside. If I stay out too long, my wife's gonna start worrying."

He said it intentionally.

Sean didn't respond. He simply bent down and got into the car.

Damian turned around and walked back toward the house. The moment he stepped into the living room, he saw the entire Theron family still sitting there waiting.

He rubbed his fingers together once before finally walking in.

Nathan only glanced at him briefly before looking away again.

The atmosphere in the room felt obviously tense, so Damian didn't go back upstairs.

Violet was the first to speak, "Damian, come sit."

Damian smiled lightly.

Violet was already looking at him with the same gentle smile as always, giving away nothing unusual at all.

"You didn't do anything wrong," she said softly.

The moment she finished speaking, Nathan, who had stayed silent the whole time, finally turned around.

He still wasn't looking directly at Damian when he spoke.

"That's enough. It's late. Everyone should get some rest."

Henry sighed deeply again before standing up. Diana supported him as they headed toward the downstairs bedroom together.

After the two of them entered the room, Nathan stood as well.

Damian immediately rose to his feet.

"Nathan, did something happen?"

"Nothing."

Nathan walked toward the stairs, but halfway there, he suddenly stopped and turned back toward Damian.

"I can tell you genuinely care about Scarlett," he said calmly. "Just do what you think you should do. Don't take my dad's words too seriously."

After saying that, he headed upstairs.

Violet remained standing in the living room. Once Nathan disappeared onto the second floor, she finally looked back at Damian.

"I'm sure you can figure out what happened if you look into it," she said quietly. "Dad's spent his whole life worrying about this family. He's afraid all the years Nathan put into the company will end up wasted, so that's why he said those things to you."

She paused briefly before continuing.

"But honestly, even without you, Vincent was never going to let Scarlett go that easily."
