Ivy's expression turned grim after returning to her ward. She stormed into the bathroom, slammed the door shut, and began smashing everything in sight.

Darn it! As she stared at her crazed self in the mirror, Ivy suddenly felt a strange sense of unfamiliarity. How long had it been since she lost control like this?

She splashed cold water on her face and stepped back out, only to find Owen already waiting outside. Her tone was cold as she asked, "What's going on right now?"

"I think someone's targeting our company, Ms. Sterling. There's no way public sentiment could've flared up so quickly. We've coordinated with the Cantrells, and Mrs. Cantrell said someone's been tempering behind the scenes."

"Who's behind it?"

"We haven't found anything yet, but I'm fairly certain it's related to Noelle and the Greenes. After all, they've always been against us.

"They disrupted our previous plans, and we had to shift our targets to mid-tier families or ordinary people."

Ivy's expression darkened further as she pressed. "Could they have found something?"

"That isn't possible. They're most likely trying to sabotage PZ Group's investment. Shall we consider making peace with Maple Enterprise?"

Recalling what Noelle had said earlier about PZ Group, Ivy snorted. "Noelle would never agree to cooperate."

"What do we do now, then?"

"We don't have to do anything. Didn't Laura say she could handle it? If she can't, we'll just deal with her." Ivy snarled furiously.

"Dealing with Laura is a piece of cake, Boss. Shall we pull the net? We've nearly hit our target, and though we're not quite there yet, we're close enough."

"No, not yet. The money we've raked in is nowhere near enough.

"I want the perfect crime. When this is over, we all disappear for good and leave them here like fools, completely played," Ivy said.

Then, she turned back to Owen and instructed, "Process the refunds. We can't get the omelet without breaking the eggs."
