No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1088

Was it that hard to tell the truth?

Cedric hadn't expected that Noelle still had secrets she kept from him. He turned to her, suppressing his frustration. "You still haven't answered my question."

Don't think she could fool him. He wasn't falling for her tricks.

Noelle pouted sadly at him.

They stared at each other for a while before Cedric finally gave in. "Be good and tell me who it is."

But Noelle still shook her head. This time, she even turned and tried to run.

Cedric immediately caught her and pulled her into his arms. "Where do you think you're going?"

Noelle whined. "Let me go."

"Not happening. Not unless you tell me." He held her tightly, but she started to struggle hard. In the end, she clutched her mouth and gagged.

Cedric hurriedly carried her to the bathroom. But she still ended up throwing up on herself. She collapsed onto the floor, exhausted.

Cedric sighed. "Can you stand up?"

"Carry me." Noelle looked up at him with teary eyes and held her hands out pitifully.

Seeing her play the pity card again, Cedric sighed but went over and picked her up. "Let's get you cleaned up."

"Clean me," she mumbled.

He swallowed hard. "Do you even know what you're saying?"

He carried her into the bedroom and filled the bathtub with warm water.

Halfway through the bath, Noelle fell asleep. Her head drooped, and she couldn't keep herself up.

Cedric cradled her and carried her out, drying her carefully before laying her on the bed. He touched her forehead and was glad when he didn't feel a fever. He finally relaxed.

He changed into pajamas and lay down beside her. He pinched Noelle's face. "Tell me, who was it you used to like?"

Why had she never mentioned it before? How could she keep such a big secret from him? In the end, Cedric sighed fondly and tucked the blanket snugly around her.

That night, Noelle slept soundly and peacefully. She dreamed of going out with her parents. There was no car accident, and the scenery was beautiful.

When she woke up, she still remembered the dream. She had been happy in it. Was it a dream sent by her parents?

Noelle turned and suddenly saw there was a man lying beside her. And when she realized it was Cedric, she froze. Why was he sleeping here?
