Noelle found Carl's reply extremely strange. She could only wonder what he was trying to say, as there was no way he could possibly understand what she was really worried about.
Blake walked over and said, "Noelle, you're worried about the trial tomorrow, right? Don't worry. Sean won't know about this."
Lucas chimed in, "Yeah, the paternity test result is already enough proof. The Quigleys are all a bunch of ingrates."
Noelle's lips curled up into a forced smile.
Donovan spoke up with a hint of impatience. "Noelle, everyone's been working really hard. We stayed up all night here for our parents' sake. You're not the only person making sacrifices."
She looked up and stared coldly at Donovan, who then stammered, "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Noelle then stood up with a stern expression.
Donovan gulped and continued, "Noelle, am I wrong? I know that you were wronged in the past, but how long are you going to keep acting like this? Do you plan to hold up this arrogant attitude over us for the rest of your life?"
Noelle sneered and replied, "Who are you to judge me?"
He immediately snapped, "You—"
Blake quickly pulled Donovan back. "That's enough, you two. Donovan, can't you act more like how the eldest brother should be and be more generous toward your own siblings?"
Donovan looked aggrieved. "Am I not being generous enough? I've tolerated Noelle for so long already!"
Blake replied, "You're the oldest among us, Donovan. Can't you just be more understanding toward Noelle?"
Donovan was fuming, but seeing how the rest of his brothers were looking at him, he ultimately decided to say nothing more.
Frank spoke up cautiously, "Noelle, let's talk about what we should do for the trial. You should contact Mr. Sulton and prepare a new strategy. It's almost dawn."
Noelle took a deep breath to calm herself down. She realized that they were right in that it was not the time to argue about such matters. She then pulled out her phone and called Jeremy.
Jeremy then quickly made some new contingency plans based on the newest development. Once all the necessary preparations were finished, Noelle finally let out a sigh of relief.
Frank spoke up cautiously, "Noelle, why don't you go back and get some rest? You haven't slept all night."
Noelle took a look at the sky and saw that it was already getting brighter with the sun coming out.
She then replied, "I'll skip sleeping for now. The trial is going to be a tough battle ahead of us, so we can't afford to slack off now. Make sure that the reporters don't find out anything about Xenia. And as for Wyatt—"
Carl turned to Frank and said, "Keep Wyatt locked in the house, and don't let him out."
Noelle nodded. "Yes, I agree. Wyatt shouldn't be seen in public right now, or he might accidentally leak the news to the reporters.
"Once that happens, he'll come crying to apologize to me, saying that he had lost his mind after hearing that Xenia had died."
Donovan could tell that Noelle was being sarcastic, but he ultimately did not say anything in response. Just then, Xenia's body was pushed out of the emergency room while covered in a white sheet.
