My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 320

Lucian let out a low chuckle. "Alright, I trust you."

Seraphina offered a small smile, but internally, she was screaming: This isn't my intuition, it's your son's!

Unfortunately, that was a truth she could probably never voice aloud.

If she ever told anyone, they would lock her up in a psychiatric ward.

The entire concept was just too insane.

The next morning, the team Lucian had assembled departed right on schedule, heading straight to Paradox Logic to begin the due diligence process.

Word travels fast in the corporate world, and by noon, the intel had already reached Landon's ears.

Landon was in the middle of a brutal workout at the gym when the call came through, causing him to freeze.

"Who's making a play for Paradox?" he demanded.

"Lucian Langford. Your brother," the voice on the other end reported. "He already has a team on the ground. Looks like he's going in for the kill."

Landon slowly lowered his barbell and sat up straight.

Paradox.

He had been aggressively tracking this startup for nearly six months. Back when he was still abroad, a friend embedded inside the company had leaked some highly classified intel to him.

He had been biding his time, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

He never anticipated Lucian would suddenly hijack the deal out of nowhere.

Out of all the tech startups in the city, Lucian just happened to zero in on Paradox?

Did he somehow realize the true commercial magnitude of this company?

Landon had only locked onto it because of his contact's frantic recommendations.

"Understood." He killed the call and sat on the bench, his brow knotted in furious calculation.

On the surface, Paradox Logic looked like a run-of-the-mill tech firm, but his months of covert research proved they were sitting on patents that would become the ultimate chokehold on the AI industry within the next two to three years.

Whoever secured Paradox would effectively own the keys to the next era of technological dominance.

He had originally planned to wait two more months until his capital flow freed up before making his move.

Landon stared at the brief text, a cold smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.

Perfect. She was compliant and didn't throw tantrums like a spoiled heiress.

Compliant women were always easier to control.

At exactly three o'clock, Landon stepped into the primary conference room at Paradox Logic.

The startup was nestled in the heart of the tech park. The office was small, but the stark, minimalist decor gave it an incredibly clinical vibe.

The founder, Alistair Fletcher, was a tech genius in his early thirties. He wore thick black frames and sported perpetually disheveled hair, bearing the unmistakable aura of a man who lived and breathed raw code.

"Mr. Langford. It's an honor," Alistair extended his hand, his tone polite but entirely devoid of the usual corporate sycophancy.

Landon gripped his hand and cut straight to the chase. "Mr. Fletcher, I imagine you already know exactly why I'm here."

Alistair nodded slowly. "The team from The Langford Group was just here this morning."

Alistair wasn't blind to the corporate warfare raging within the Langford dynasty. He was fully aware of the highly venomous dynamic between Landon and Lucian.

"I'm aware." Landon took a seat on the sofa, his posture oozing predatory confidence. "But whatever terms my brother offered you, I guarantee I can beat them."
