My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 165

Zelda spun around frantically, suddenly acting as if she had an epiphany, and snapped her head toward Seraphina. "Seraphina! Your sister was perfectly fine just a moment ago. Why is it that the second you return, she's suddenly in excruciating pain?"

Little Bean rolled his eyes in the womb. "Mommy, she's practically screaming that you're the murderer."

Zelda stopped just short of directly accusing Seraphina of poisoning her, but the heavy implication was glaringly obvious to everyone in the room.

Samuel immediately shot Seraphina a look of dark suspicion.

Unfazed, Seraphina met Zelda's gaze with glacial calm. "What exactly are you implying, Zelda? I'm sitting across the entire length of this table. I haven't laid a single finger on her. What does her sudden illness have to do with me?"

Caught off guard by Seraphina's razor-sharp retort, Zelda let out a cold scoff. "Who knows? Some people look perfectly innocent on the surface, but are full of dirty, underhanded tricks behind closed doors."

It was a blatant, unapologetic accusation.

But Seraphina had zero intention of taking the blame for this charade.

Her voice wasn't loud, but every syllable cut like glass. "Are you talking about yourself, Zelda?"

"After all, you're the absolute expert when it comes to underhanded tricks."

Zelda's face flushed violently, turning red and pale in rapid succession, completely stunned by Seraphina's sudden sharp tongue.

Looking at his distressed youngest daughter, Samuel's eyes filled with worry, his patience snapping entirely. "Enough arguing! Get Sienna to the hospital right now!"

Since Samuel had given the final order, Zelda couldn't keep arguing with Seraphina without making her true intentions too obvious.

Instead, she settled for shooting Seraphina a venomous glare.

The maids scrambled over to help, supporting Sienna as they dragged her toward the door. Sienna leaned heavily against them, looking so fragile she might pass out at any second.

Hurrying after them, Zelda pulled out her phone and dialed a number. She kept her voice hushed, but broken fragments of the conversation drifted right into Seraphina's ears.

"...Yes, we're on our way... Has Dr. West made the arrangements? ...Good, we'll be there in about twenty minutes..."

Having eavesdropped with intense focus, Little Bean suddenly gasped. "Mommy! She said they're going to The Azure Private Hospital!"

They were going to officially cement the lie that Sienna had suffered a miscarriage.

And Seraphina was the star of this horrific little play. They were going to ensure she took the full blame for the 'murder'.

They had undoubtedly chosen The Azure Private Hospital because of its legendary strict client privacy policies, assuming their dirty work would never leak to the public.

But in all their meticulous plotting, they had made one fatal miscalculation.

The hospital was owned by the Langford family.

"Mommy! Call Dad right now!" Little Bean urged excitedly. "Tell him to warn the hospital that Dr. West is a corrupt, bribed doctor! Then their whole evil scheme will be ruined!"

Standing entirely still, Seraphina stared coldly at the empty doorway.

Zelda and Sienna were already in the car, with Samuel closely following behind.
