(Author’s POV)
"Like what you see, sweetheart?" Dion remarked, his tone playful.
Flustered, Myra fired back instantly, "It’s~ .... it’s not like that." He chuckled, closing the distance between them. "Don’t be shy, Myra. After all, we are~ ..." he paused; his tone was peculiar. He was about to pull her hands away, but Brave interrupted, his voice firm, "Dion, cut it out," and threw a spare pair of pants his way, which he had taken from the closet.
"Uhh~ ... it’s not my size, Rave. Too small; I am definitely on the bigger side," Dion remarked. His last two words were deliberate, almost purred near her ears.
Myra felt her throat wobbly and parched; he was standing just behind her. She could feel his hot breath on her earlobes. His suggestive choice of words, his flirtatious skills, everything left her utterly speechless.
A smile broke on Dion’s lips at seeing her in such a ruffled state.
Brave’s mouth twitched, Alaric’s eyes narrowed at their flirting, and Elio, he gnashed his teeth, but neither said another word. They knew how skilful their middle brother was in this field. None of them could keep up with him.
Sighing, the boys changed into whatever piece of clothing was available in the infirmary’s wardrobe, probably belonging to the doctor in charge there.
"All done, princess. Open your eyes and tell us whether it’s to your liking or not. Vogueworthy or not," Dion commented.
Myra carefully withdrew her hands from her face and finally looked at them. What she saw made her eyes as wide as buttons; then the next second, she burst out laughing.
Elio was wearing an oversized cotton tee that looked tight on him and a bright colored tight pants with red and orange palm trees designed on them. Dion was in loose blue hued sweatpants that ended an inch or two above his ankles; as for the upper part, he preferred not to wear anything. Alaric was given khaki yoga capri pants and a lab coat because the available shirts he could not even try on without tearing them. Brave himself wore only a medical isolation gown.
The heirs of Everests Corporation, the Lycan Alpha wolves, the most eligible bachelors of high society, the ones who make every female heart race like crazy, the ones whom every male envies, they all looked so ludicrous in their respective attire. Ludicrous, yet undeniably adorable.
Seeing her laugh so heartily, they couldn’t help but feel relaxed; their tensed shoulders eased. Even Alaric, unknowing, smiled briefly, which he instantly suppressed with a straight face. His voice came out detached, "Have you had enough of your fun? Done laughing now? If yes, then we all need to have a serious talk."
Myra toned down her laughter and soon regained her composure, though a stifled grin remained on her lips.
"You should settle down first. You have been through a lot tonight," Elio said as he touched her shoulders and guided her to sit on the bed. Myra nodded and obliged.
Brave took a stool beside the bed and sat. Exhaling a deep breath, he asked, stammering at first, "Ummm, Myra~ .... do you, do you~ .... remember what happened in the forest?"
Dion sat on the bottom edge of the bed, Elio on another spare stool, and Alaric preferred the other available patient bed, trying to keep his distance.

"ALARIC," Dion glared at him, "give it a rest, will you?" He then looked at Myra, and his eyes softened. He took both of her hands in his as electricity coursed through Myra’s body. The sacred bond was reacting. A reddish golden bracelet like thread, tying them both together, appeared on their right wrists. "I don’t know about how others think or feel about this, but I am certain. You, Myra Miracle, are my mate. Since the day my wolf called you as our mate, it has been a fact, and it will remain so~ ... until my very last breath." His eyes glowed as he said this. There was no playfulness this time, only genuineness.
