A couple of days was simply not enough to go back to Wiltspoon. Even traveling by air could take nearly an entire day factoring the logistics of airport transfers, the flight itself, and journey to Wildridge Manor from the airport.

“Thank you, Uncle Zack. Everything’s going fine, at least on the surface. The heirlooms are all with me. As long as I have them, they have to acknowledge I’m the head of the family no matter how unhappy they are about it.

“As for what troubles lie ahead, I don’t know, but I’m not scared. The moment I took this step, I had mentally prepared myself for trouble.

“I’ll ring you up if I need your help.”

“It’s true that there’s a lot of work, so lately I haven’t been knitting. I haven’t managed to complete one yet.”

Zachary chuckled, “There’s no rush, but since you’ve started, you should keep at it. We’re still waiting to see the final product.

“Xavier’s learning how to knit now. He said he can’t let Lil’ Pie be envious of Chloe and Noelle.”

That was because the Ormond kid had said the same thing and was learning to knit so he could make a sweater with a heart on it for Chloe. Thus, Xavier learned from his example.
