Married at First Sight (Serenity and Zachary) novel Chapter 5439

“Mom, Master… Don’t you think I’m not good enough for Mr. Laurence?”

Lilian gave Noelle a light rap on the head.

Jane glared at Noelle.

Noelle rubbed the sore spot and cried in pain, “Master.”

It had been ages since Lilian did that to her.

“I don’t want to hear that coming from you again. Don’t you dare think about it. I can’t stand to hear it. Who said you weren’t good enough? Spill the beans. I’m going to have a word with these people. How do you not deserve Laurence? You’re an outstanding woman, unlike any other.

“Laurence was first to choose you, and he’s crazy about you. If not, I would’ve let Crybaby Ollie go after you instead. I adore you. You’re the ideal daughter-in-law to me.”

Noelle stayed by Laurence’s side to keep him safe. Though she was also business-savvy enough to help Laurence at work, she did not have the chance to shine because Laurence and Sonny were great at what they did.

The public would think Noelle was crude and only good at fighting. However, her looks and grace defined refinement itself.

Lilian would snap at anyone who called Noelle crude.

Jane chimed in. “Exactly. No one in their right mind would say that. I think that Laurence is punching above his weight with you. He carries too much baggage, so it’s wonderful that you can see past that. He wouldn’t dream of rejecting you.”

“Mom, Mr. Laurence doesn’t think less of me, nor would I ever look down on him.”

Jane took Noelle’s hand and said, “Noelle, don’t let doubts cloud your mind. Just go with your heart. If you love Laurence, just accept his feelings and be with him.

Noelle did not hide her feelings in front of the two adults. “I love Mr. Laurence.”

In Jane’s words, it did not take much to fall in love with a fine man like Laurence.

Living under the same roof day in and day out, Noelle knew Laurence like the back of her hand. He was kind and devoted to her. She got butterflies when she was with him. Her heart had belonged to him for a very long time.

Noelle had been fighting her feelings, too terrified to speak them out loud.

If Laurence had not made the first move, Noelle would probably have kept her feelings buried forever.

“That settles it. Since you love each other and are available to date, you should be together. No one can object. You can just ignore those opposing voices.”
