Married at First Sight (Serenity and Zachary) novel Chapter 5430

Tony repeatedly gave his assurances.

Laurence left with his bodyguards.

Tony and the rest stood at the door, watching the cars leave, as the respect on his face was slowly replaced by baleful coldness.

“Pops.”

“Grandpa.”

Manny and Roxy spoke in unison.

Tony raised a hand in a signal not to say anything.

He turned to go back into the house.

Roxy anxiously asked her father, “Pa, are we really moving out?”

She was born here and grew up here. They all saw this place as their home.

It did not matter how many other houses they bought because this was their home, where they had laid their roots.

Now, they had to move out, and Laurence was saying that even if they had stayed there for thirty years, it was not their home.

Manny said resentfully, “What else can we do? Your grandfather already said we’re moving.

“That damned Laurence is seriously heartless. He just took over, and he’s already forcing us to move out. There are so many places the family head can stay, but he just has to have us move out and not stay elsewhere.”

Many did not want to move out either.

His whole family moved in thirty years ago and had stayed until now. They were more than familiar with every single blade of grass, every flower, and tree.

Laurence griped, “Mom, you’re so biased. You didn’t even ask how I was and if I got hurt.”

Jane laughed. “You’re a strapping, tough, and extremely cunning young man. How could you not be alright? Besides, if anything happened to you, Noelle would put her life on the line and stand in front of you to shield you from all harm.”

If even Laurence got hurt, Noelle would probably be dead by then.

Laurence looked at Noelle and said, “I don’t want Noelle to keep doing that either, but she won’t listen like a woman on a mission. Mom, you and Master have got to have a serious talk with her.

“I don’t need her to protect me with her life. I’ll be fine as long as she’s living well.”

“Mr. Laurence, it’s my duty to protect you.”

Laurence shrugged at Jane as he said helplessly, “Mom, you heard it yourself. I seriously don’t know what to do with her.”
