I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 356

"What I just said to you still stands," his tone was completely flat, as if the explosive scene just now had never happened. "But I'm only keeping the offer open for one week."

Sienna stared at him, completely lost.

"Since you want to weigh your options, take this week and weigh them carefully." He slid his phone into his pocket and looked down at her. "Make a definitive choice."

Sienna's mind was buzzing.

Silas walked away, but as he passed Sienna, he paused.

"I have never been this tolerant with any woman before. You'd better think this through."

Dropping those words, he walked out of the restaurant.

The next day, at Mercy International.

The HR staff hadn't arrived yet, so Sienna waited by the door for a while.

The hallway still reeked heavily of antiseptic.

"Dr. Sterling? You're here early!"

Marcus Lowman, the HR Director, spotted Sienna from afar and greeted her enthusiastically.

"Marcus, I'm here to hand in my resignation."

Marcus's smile froze entirely.

He glanced at the envelope in Sienna's hand but didn't dare reach for it.

"Dr. Sterling, why the sudden change? Director Hayes hasn't notified me of anything."

"I'm just submitting a standard resignation. Does a routine personnel change require Director Hayes's personal notification?" Sienna wore a thin, polite smile.

Marcus opened his mouth to argue, but quickly swallowed the words.

"Oh, alright. I'll hold onto the letter for now. The hospital still needs to process the paperwork."

Sienna nodded.

"Thank you for your hard work."

With that, she turned on her heel and left.

-

At the Hayes corporate tower, Silas had just wrapped up the executive morning briefing.

He returned to his office.

His two closest aides stood at attention in front of his desk, waiting for orders.
