I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 347

Sienna finally understood.

He was upset that she wasn't acting like a dependent, needy girlfriend.

"I'm... not really good at that." She gently pulled her hand free from his grasp.

The car exited the highway and merged into city traffic.

Silas didn't say another word.

The small gap between them on the leather seat suddenly felt like an uncrossable chasm.

Outside the window, the towering skyscrapers gradually gave way to quiet, tree-lined avenues.

Sienna recognized the route; they were heading toward the Hayes Estate.

The car glided to a halt in front of the grand entrance.

The driver hurried to open the door. Silas stepped out first and offered Sienna his hand.

She took it, but the moment her foot hit the pavement, a piercing shriek echoed from inside the house.

"I don't want it!"

A loud crash followed—the sharp, unmistakable sound of porcelain shattering against marble.

The nanny's frantic voice spilled out from the foyer.

"Maya, please stop throwing things! You're going to cut yourself..."

"Go away! Leave me alone!"

It was Maya Hayes.

But Sienna had never heard the little girl sound like this. Her voice was shrill and raw, like a wounded animal backed into a corner.

Silas dropped Sienna's hand and stormed inside.

Sienna hurried after him, navigating the long corridor until they reached the living room.

A ceramic bowl lay in pieces on the floor, oatmeal splashed haphazardly across the tiles, mixing with the jagged white shards.

Sofa cushions were scattered everywhere. A stack of picture books had been hurled onto the coffee table, one of them ripped in half, its pages fluttering tragically to the rug.

Maya stood next to the sofa, her face flushed red and stained with tears. Her hair was a messy nest, her little bun lopsided, with damp strands clinging to her cheeks.

Her dress was splattered with oatmeal, and her white socks were planted dangerously close to the broken porcelain. One wrong step, and she would slice her foot open.

The nanny crouched on the floor, her hands trembling as she tried to sweep up the mess.

Geoffrey Vance stood helplessly near the doorway, his wrinkled face tight with distress, unsure of whether to intervene or step back.

Silas strode into the room, his voice dropping into a harsh reprimand.

"What is going on here? Throwing a tantrum again?"

Seeing him only made Maya cry harder. Huge tears rolled down her cheeks. She took a step back, her calf hitting the edge of the sofa, nearly sending her tumbling to the ground.

She caught her balance and viciously wiped her face with her sleeve.
