When Lily ran out with an umbrella, she froze at the scene before her. Sienna and Silas were standing face-to-face in the rain.
The height difference between them was striking, and they looked incredibly perfect together.
She tugged gently on Isaac's sleeve, pulling him back so they wouldn't intrude.
Sienna got into Silas's car and remained completely silent for most of the ride.
She stared out the window, watching the rain streak down the glass, blurring the glow of the streetlights into hazy smears of gold.
Caspar sat in the passenger seat, twisted around to give Silas a business report.
That was, until Caspar mentioned two specific words: "Mr. Fletcher."
Sienna's scattered thoughts instantly snapped into sharp focus.
She didn't let a single emotion show on her face, but she quietly strained her ears to listen.
Caspar reported,
"Word has it that the whistleblower's surname is Winston. He was their former butler, but he's completely dropped off the grid. No one can find him."
Sienna's heart violently lurched in her chest. A butler named Winston?
Could it be Arthur?
She suddenly remembered being in Willow Creek, when Arthur had shown her the flash drive proving that Ford was the one who had answered that fateful phone call four years ago.
She remembered Arthur saying, "I'm so sorry for what I did to Finn."
He was consumed by guilt.
He had been firmly on Finn's side.
How could the leak possibly come from him?
Silas's tone was ice-cold and merciless.
"Send an email to The Fletcher Group. Tell them that if they cannot reverse public opinion within three days, the partnership is canceled."
Sienna's heart plummeted into her stomach.
Canceled.
She knew that stabilizing the shareholders was the only thing keeping Finn afloat right now, and the AeroJet deal was his ultimate trump card.
If Silas pulled out at this critical moment, the already wavering board members would instantly turn against him.
Finn would never survive the fallout.
It was utterly unimaginable how much crushing pressure Finn must be under right now.
"Sienna?" Silas called her name softly.
