I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 302

By the time she snapped out of it, she found herself standing in an unfamiliar courtyard.

The gates were open, and the lights inside were on. Bamboo leaves peeked over the walls, rustling in the wind.

A large pond sat in the center of the yard, koi fish gliding lazily through the water.

Sienna stepped further inside, hoping to find someone to ask for directions.

Suddenly, she spotted Silas.

He was standing at the end of the corridor, wearing a dark silk robe. His hair was wet, water droplets trailing down the ends of the strands.

He had clearly just finished showering and was toweling his hair dry.

Stripped of his immaculate suits, Silas looked like a completely different person.

"It's fine."

He tossed the towel over a nearby railing and gestured toward a stone bench in the yard. "Since you're here, have a seat."

Sienna shook her head.

"It's too late. I won't bother you."

"It's only eleven." Silas glanced at his watch. "I rarely sleep before one or two in the morning."

Sienna hovered at the doorway, unsure whether to stay or run.

She genuinely had gotten lost, but his tone made it sound like she had sought him out on purpose.

"As a doctor, I'd advise you to take better care of your health and avoid staying up late," she said, giving herself an out.

Silas laughed.

It wasn't the calculated, polite smile he wore during business meetings. He was genuinely amused.

Sienna had never seen him laugh like that before and paused.

"I'm quite happy you came looking for me," he said.

Sienna caught the implication. He definitely thought she was here on purpose.

She grew slightly flustered.

"No, I really..."
