Sienna took a step back, her tightly clenched fists slowly unfurling.
She had nearly stormed inside.
When she heard Ford call Finn "worse than an animal," she almost lost whatever restraint she had left.
At the same time, she was struck by Finn's current demeanor.
He had completely shed the shackles of family and kinship—the very things he used to value above all else.
He was cold, absolute, and devoid of the man he once was.
"Sienna."
Silas’s voice sounded from behind her, strangely gentle as he said her name.
Sienna turned around.
Silas stood just a few feet away.
"Let the people inside handle their own mess."
Sienna's heart gave a slight jolt.
Silas had actually noticed.
And he had seen right through her.
She nodded faintly.
"Okay."
Ford's roar echoed from the living room again, sounding like a trapped beast.
"Finn, do you really think you've won?" His voice shifted from furious to dangerously cold. "Do you think the board will support you? Your biggest bargaining chip right now is the Hayes family's stance. But don't forget, Silas is on my side. Crossing me means crossing the Hayes family. Who do you think they're going to back?"
Finn didn't say a word.
At that moment, Felicia walked down the stairs.
Ford's eyes lit up as if he had seen his savior, and he immediately went to greet her.
"Felicia, perfect timing. Finn has caused an absolute disaster!"
"I saw his statement," Felicia cut him off. "Shouldn't you be explaining yourself to me?"
Ford's eyes darted around.
He knew she was talking about York.
"I'm sorry, but this isn't something I can explain in just a sentence or two."
