I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 191

However, Sienna quickly regained her composure.

She recognized Finn's voice instantly.

She did not turn around immediately; her finger hovered over Quincy's phone screen for a split second before she locked it and placed it back on the table.

She made sure the position and angle were exactly as they had been.

Only then did she turn around.

She saw Finn standing at the corner of the hallway, the backlight casting his face in deep shadow.

"Didn't you take Arthur home?"

"I did, but I was worried it wasn't safe for you to be here alone, so I came back to pick you up."

Sienna stood up and slung her bag over her shoulder.

"Let's go."

Finn cast a glance at Quincy.

"What about him?"

Sienna walked past him.

"If you're worried about him, you can stay here and keep guard."

"Didn't you say you gave him a hangover pill?" Finn caught up to her.

"It probably hasn't kicked in yet."

Finn reached out and grabbed Sienna's wrist.

"Sienna."

She stopped but did not look back.

"What are you really doing?"

"Nothing."

Finn stared at her.

"I was thinking on the way over, and things just aren't adding up. You've been acting incredibly strange today. This isn't like you at all. You are definitely hiding something from me."

Sienna turned around and met his gaze.

"And what exactly do you think I'm doing?"

Numerous possibilities flashed through Finn's mind, but he dismissed every single one of them.

In his heart, Sienna was a pure and profoundly kind person.

She was not the manipulative type.

He let out a heavy sigh.

"Maybe I'm just overthinking. Come on, I'll walk you back."

The two of them stepped out of the restaurant.

The rain had stopped, leaving the pavement slick and glistening.

Sienna walked ahead, with Finn trailing closely behind.

Neither of them said a word.

When they reached the clinic door, Sienna paused.

The door clicked shut.

Finn stood frozen outside for a long time.

The rain grew heavier, soaking him to the bone.

He pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

"How is the investigation I asked for? Why haven't you replied for the past two days?"

"Boss... you really shouldn't look into this anymore."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Finn's voice turned icy.

"Boss, even if we find the truth, what can you do about it? At the end of the day, it's all..."

"You don't need to finish that," Finn interrupted sharply. "I know who it is."

The next morning, the shrill wail of police sirens tore through the early mist over Willow Creek.

Sienna stood at the entrance of the clinic, watching two patrol cars pull up outside the scenic area's hotel.

She did not walk over to join the crowd.

A short while later, two officers escorted Quincy out in handcuffs.

Arthur stumbled blindly behind them, tears streaming down his weathered face.

"Quincy! Quincy! Officers, why are you arresting my nephew? What did he do?"

An officer held the old man back.

Unable to take another step, Arthur collapsed to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.
