I Fell for the Man Who Ruined Me, Then He Forgot He Ever Loved Me Back novel Chapter 326

When she opened her front door, Dr. Hart was still there, patiently explaining something to Jorrod.

From a distance, Sienna couldn't hear what was being said.

She only saw Jorrod immediately stand up and walk toward her the moment he spotted her.

Dr. Hart dusted off his knees and stood up as well.

Sienna slipped her hand out of Jorrod's grasp and walked over to the doctor to ask about his progress.

Dr. Hart shook his head. "He refuses to interact, and he won't speak. Just sitting face-to-face with me like he did a moment ago is already a major improvement."

"He won't speak?" Sienna was taken aback.

Dr. Hart nodded, confirming he hadn't uttered a single syllable.

Sienna was stunned. She slowly turned her head to look at the man she had left standing by the door. His tall, imposing figure cast a shadow, his dark eyes locked onto her with a brooding intensity, clearly displeased that she had just ignored him.

She didn't understand.

He had definitely spoken a few sentences the night before. Sure, it was mostly useless nonsense, but it still counted as communication.

She turned back. "He was talking last night."

Dr. Hart's eyes lit up as he pushed his glasses up his nose. "What did he say?"

Sienna's mind instantly replayed all the overly intimate, mushy phrases: 'sleep together,' 'like you,' 'don't want to leave you.'

She waved her hand dismissively, summoning Jorrod over to stand in front of the doctor to prove it. "Say it again."

Jorrod tilted his head to look at her, and to Dr. Hart's absolute astonishment, he opened his mouth. "Say what."

"Say thank you, Dr. Hart."

Jorrod obediently repeated, "Thank you, Dr. Hart."

Though, his eyes remained entirely glued to the woman beside him, not sparing a single glance for the man he was supposed to be earnestly thanking.

Dr. Hart understood instantly.

It wasn't that he couldn't speak—it was that he refused to speak to anyone else.

Fine. Progress was still progress.

Still no reaction.

Finally, Sienna mumbled the ultimate line: "Let's get back together."

Instantly, a flicker of emotion crossed his sharp eyes, though his brows furrowed slightly in confusion.

Hmm... Sienna rephrased it. "Let's be together?"

That phrase instantly smoothed out the confusion on his face. He gave a gentle nod, simply said, "Okay," and went right back to eating.

"..."

Whatever. It was a lost cause.

That night in bed, Sienna swapped sides with him.

Just as she lay down and reached for the blankets, an unexpected force suddenly yanked her backward. Her back slammed against a scorching, solid chest. Jorrod pulled her tight against his warmth, wrapping his arms around her to completely cage her against him.

Sienna was so shocked her jaw practically hit the floor. After a few seconds of pure stunned silence, the man's deep voice rumbled softly from behind her.

"Together."
