Sinclair POV
It’s been a few days since I changed the tracker signature. I found that all the trackers are connected to the same signature, but they work independently of each other. So if I change the information on one, it will change it on all of them, but dismantling one doesn’t dismantle the rest.
Adrian is having a little too much fun with the list, and I admit, so am I. I understand why Kaia said it was worth it. We find creative ways to ‘punish’ each other, and it makes for a hell of a night.
‘What is my little sin doing?’ Adrian said through the mind link.
I smirked. ‘Enjoying myself without you.’
He growled in the link. ‘Definitely on the list.’
I laughed. ‘Insatiable.’
‘Desirable.’
I smiled and continued working on my laptop. I’m searching for the elder. I think I have him, but I need to confirm it before I say anything. Elder Vorath is looking like our guy. He is working on Julian’s side if he was helping Heath. They are still in prison as far as I know, but I haven’t faithfully kept tabs either.
“Girlie, Thalia is coming. She wants to have lunch and talk. You know…girl talk!” Kaia said, smiling.
I smiled, confused. “What does that even mean?”
Kaia stopped and looked at me like I had two heads. “You know when you and I talk about our relationships and personal girl matters? That’s girl talk, Sinclair. It’s not like we haven’t done that before.”
I laughed. “I had no idea there was a category for ‘girl talk’, but I’m so in. When will Thalia be here?”
“In an hour. How is the elder search going?” she asked.
“I think Elder Vorath is our guy, but I’m still confirming a few things first.”
“His name even sounds like a villain. Vorrrr-athhhh!”
I started laughing at her goofy behavior. “You’re in a really good mood today.”
“I am. I got Isaiah so good last night! Awesome prank, and now he is threatening something delicious tonight.”
I laughed hard. “You two are like rabbits.”
Kaia scoffed and crossed her arms. “Excuse me, ‘Ms. Every Three Offenses’.
I blushed. “He’s up to six, because I said so.”
Kaia laughed. “What else do you need to find before we can confirm it’s Vordath?”
“I’m waiting to break into his financial records to confirm deposits from Heath. I have his bank records and offshore account information. I need to show the exchange, and then I can triangulate that with the packs being removed from the registry in the same time frame.”
“Excellent. Also, I have the materials needed for the glove being delivered to Blackstone. I told Isaiah that I would be going with you for a couple of days to confirm everything arrived.”
“Did he complain about it? He is so territorial over you,” I said.
“He says he’s keeping me from causing trouble. I just know that he loves him, some me, and he can’t stand to be away from me,” she laughed.
I pointed to the monitor outside the lab. Both Adrian and Isaiah are coming again.
“Should we mess with them again?”
“Absolutely!”
We snickered. They have no idea that we know when they are coming. Kaia started the conversation.
"Girl, I'm sore. Isaiah was borderline obsessed last night.”
“Oh, no! Are you okay?”
“My lower back hurts,” she responded.
“Great idea,” I said, and I started typing away, trying to figure out the logic to compile everything together.
Meanwhile, Adrian has moved down my back, and I have to admit, it feels good. Kaia and I side-eyed each other, and we had a wicked gleam in our eyes. I rubbed my neck, and Kaia stretched her arms.
Adrian and Isaiah took note and slowly, inconspicuously started moving to those areas. Adrian cleared his throat. “Um, you two must be tired. You’ve been at it for days. Why don’t you pack up the laptop and come back to the pack house and rest a while?”
Isaiah then added, “Yeah. Perhaps you two should take a nap.”
We both turned around and wrapped our arms around our mates. We kissed them. Then we smiled sweetly at them.
“Kaia, our mates are so caring, aren’t they?”
“They are the very best, Sin. Don’t you think?”
“Oh, yes. Adrian is the best mate a girl can ask for,” I said as he smiled widely at me.
“So is Isaiah,” Kaia said, smiling. Isaiah scooped her in his arms and kissed her.
“Why don’t we help you get to our rooms then? You can rest, and we will come get you when Aiden and Thalia get here.”
Adrian scoops me up. “Agreed, brother.”
“Guys, we need to pack up our stuff. Wait for us outside for a couple of minutes, yeah?”
They both kissed us and stepped outside. Kaia and I looked at the monitor only to find them fist-bumping and looking quite proud of themselves. We both giggled.
“Jealousy is an effective tool sometimes,” Kaia said.
“Indeed. Let’s pack up and go get pampered.”
We giggled again and packed up our stuff. When we stepped outside, our mates scooped us up again and carried us all the way to our rooms. Kaia and I were smiling the entire way there too.
