His plump mate (Rebel and Austin) by Buchanan novel Chapter 622

Julian POV

“Have you been able to figure it out?” I asked.

“Not yet, Alpha. The problem is the encryption codex is on hyper speed. The structural codices are changing at a rate that no one can keep up with. Honestly, whoever designed it is brilliant.”

“Her name is Sinclair Cross.”

“Her? Now I’m intrigued.”

“So am I, Angelo. I am trying to recruit her. It’ll be more of a…contract basis, if I can secure her.”

Angelo starts typing at rapid speed. “I’m trying to pull information on her, but there is literally nothing coming up. Are you sure Sinclair Cross is her real name?”

“Yes,” I said, looking over his shoulder.

“She must know how to wipe her information from classified systems. This is special training, Alpha.”

“So you can’t locate her?”

“No one can locate a person who doesn’t want to be found.”

“Ronan was able to do it,” I said.

“He was able to locate her due to a silent trigger that caused a breach, but I doubt he knew who he was locating,” Angelo countered.

“He fought her…twice.”

Angelo stopped and looked at me. “You said she is an omega? She fought a hunter…twice…and is still alive?”

“You understand why I want to recruit her now.”

“Alpha, I think you are in over your head. This woman you are describing has had special training. The woman you described cannot possibly be this lethal and not have special training. Do you know anything about her background?”

“You think you might be able to locate her, don’t you?”

Angelo sighed. “I’m not sure, honestly. The more I know, the more I can dig.”

I grabbed my phone and dialed Candy. She answered the phone, and she was breathing hard.

“What?” she snapped.

“Candy, it’s Julian.”

“Sir.”

“I need you to meet my tech. His name is Angelo. I want you to fill him in with everything you know about Sinclair.”

She scoffed. “Why not ask my brother or father?”

“You have more intel than they do, Candy. You fought her. You found her once already. You even bypassed the security measures at Blackstone. Get here and talk to Angelo.”

“I’ll be there tomorrow. I’m busy right now.”

“She can now. Moon blessed and all that,” I said. “She made me promise her that if something happens to her, that we take care of her pups and of Adrian.”

“First, that is not something she needs to worry about. Second, why would she ask you to promise that?”

“I told her a while back, when she first did the blood pact, about what the Moon Goddess told me about the casualties. Kaia even asked me to promise her. They are both certain I will be fine because you and I are supposed to have nine pups and we only have four, and I don’t want to try again until after the war. So they are both betting on me surviving.”

“I don’t think they are going anywhere either, Mojito,” Aiden said, kissing the top of my head. “Think about it. Moon Goddess said you are chosen to battle, Sinclair is chosen to maintain the order, Kaia is chosen to supply everything. That would mean the three of you are going to come out on the other side of this war.”

“I hadn’t thought about -,” I said before I was zipped to another place.

“Thalia, my child,” a woman called out. I knew immediately it was the Moon Goddess.

“Yes, Moon Goddess?”

“Sinclair must leave after the pups are born. She will bring a friend who was a foe. She must leave to help you. Do not stop her. Do not let her mate stop her. You will need to supervise the remaining assembly of the tool. Isaiah, Adrian, and Aiden will need to continue excavating starting next week.”

“Sinclair must leave? Where is she going?”

“She is on a mission that only she can accomplish. You will know soon enough. Do not allow anyone to stop her. Stand with her as my chosen one.”

The conversation ends, and I’m back with Aiden, and my mind is reeling. Why will she need to leave? Who is she bringing back and from where?

“Mojito? What happened?”

“Moon Goddess said Sinclair is leaving after the pups are born and I must stand with her decision as the chosen one. She said you, Adrian, and Isaiah need to continue excavating next week,” my thoughts are consumed. What hasn’t Sinclair told me?
