He Gave Me Hearing, Then Taught Me What Silence Really Means novel Chapter 144

Warmth and politeness were two traits Nelson would never be associated with in this lifetime.

The bartender, Andre Kaine, stood stiffly at attention. "Mr. Saint."

Nelson looked away, his tone dripping with impatience. "A woman is coming here shortly. I want you to win her over."

Andre was caught slightly off guard.

While he knew he was attractive, compared to the men in this room, he was definitely not the best-looking.

Nelson wanted him to seduce a woman?

Then it clicked. She was probably exactly the kind of naive good girl he usually preyed upon.

His looks and persona were highly effective on that specific demographic.

Swallowing hard, he wondered if this was his chance to climb the social ladder. He nodded. "Understood."

Julian scoffed, repeating his earlier warning, "Keep playing with fire. If you put yourself back in the hospital, I'm not bailing you out this time."

Nelson took a sip of his drink and ordered Julian to call Juniper.

Julian didn't want to be an accomplice. He was about to refuse when Nelson added, "You handled her internet scandal. The least she owes you is dinner."

Julian scowled in frustration. Nelson was literally dumping all the credit onto him.

He truly couldn't understand how Nelson's mind worked.

Pressing his lips together, he finally let out a sigh, got Juniper's number, and dialed.

Juniper picked up, her tone polite. "Hello?"

"Juniper, it's Julian. The guy who drove you home last time. The guy your grandmother set you up with is here with me. Can you come out for a bit? I'll send a car. Oh, and about your internet drama—I pulled some strings for Nelson's sake and took care of it."

Hit with two massive favors back-to-back, Juniper really had no ground to refuse.

She tightened her grip on her phone, lowering her eyelashes. "Alright."

She was almost infuriatingly compliant.

Juniper took a quick shower and changed her clothes before heading out.

By the time she got downstairs, a driver was already waiting in the underground garage.

She was genuinely curious to see what the man Eleanor had chosen for her looked like.
