Downstairs, Sabrina ran straight into Martin.
"Sabrina, it's late. We need to leave," Martin said briskly. "There's no time for breakfast. Grab an apple for the road."
Sabrina's stomach churned at the thought of rushing off to humiliate herself on an empty stomach, but she bit her tongue. Since Martin had already made up his mind, she had no choice but to comply.
"It's fine. I'm not hungry," she murmured. "I'll eat when we get back."
Martin took her hand and led her to the front door, where they were surprised to find Brandon and Colin waiting for them.
Sabrina paled. "Are you boys heading to the office this early?"
Brandon flashed a sarcastic smile. "Given how toxic things are between you two and Lillian, Colin and I didn't feel comfortable letting you go alone. Don't worry, we'll be getting up early every morning to escort you. Think of us as mediators."

Lillian chuckled softly. "You don't need to go overboard. None of them would dare touch my mother now."
"I'm not taking any chances," Leonard replied smoothly. "I've seen what the Mercers are capable of. Though, I must admit, I'm quite looking forward to watching them grovel and beg for your forgiveness."
