Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 1634

Emmy let out a helpless chuckle, her eyes brimming with indulgence. "He seems to have been born with a love for sleep. Once he falls into a deep slumber, nothing can wake him up."

Just then, Teresa walked over with a platter of fruit and smiled as she joined the conversation. "Isn't that the truth."

She set the fruit on the coffee table, her tone laced with a mixture of amusement and fondness. "Manny is so much easier to handle than Joey and Dolly ever were. You girls have no idea. When the twins were little, if one woke up crying, the other would absolutely wake up and howl right along, no matter how soundly they had been sleeping. They wouldn't go back to sleep until they had their turn crying. Manny is much more well behaved. He eats, sleeps, and eats again. He is rarely ever awake. Even when he is hungry, he just gives a few soft whimpers. As soon as you give him a pacifier, he goes right back to sleep in the blink of an eye."

Abriella's eyes lit up with sheer envy as she stared intently at Manny, looking as though she wanted to scoop the little guy up and take him straight home. "He is just too adorable..." she muttered to herself, making no effort to hide her longing. Anyone could see that Abriella genuinely adored children and desperately yearned for a baby of her own.

Krystina, who was standing nearby, watched Abriella's reaction and suddenly remembered something. She quickly spoke up. "By the way, Abriella! Didn't you tell me a few days ago that your period hasn't come since you and Will got back from your honeymoon?"

She tugged on Abriella's arm, urging her on. "If we do the math, you are almost two months late, right? The hospital is just a few steps away from here. Do you want to go register and get checked out? Maybe... you are pregnant?"

Abriella waved her hand dismissively and let out a soft sigh. "Forget it. My cycle has never been regular, so being late is completely normal for me. Besides, Will and I have been trying for years with absolutely no luck. It is not something that just happens whenever you want it to."

She rubbed her stomach, her tone tinged with a hint of frustration. "It will probably come in a few days. My hormones have been all over the place lately, and my temper has been incredibly short. I keep finding myself picking fights with Will at home. We argue every single day."

Hearing this, Emmy furrowed her brows slightly and offered some gentle advice. "Abriella, you should really try to stay calm when things come up. Will might seem a bit rough around the edges, but he is very considerate and has always treated you well. Don't constantly pick fights over trivial matters. It will only damage your relationship."

Abriella let out a sly little laugh, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "So now I love provoking him. I just want to see him lose his mind and act all domineering and wild!"

The corners of Emmy's mouth twitched violently. Never mind. She fully retracted her earlier words of advice. She never should have meddled. Sure enough, every couple had their own unique dynamic that outsiders simply could not understand. That was not arguing at all, it was just their twisted form of foreplay!

Seeing Emmy's speechless expression, Abriella nudged her arm playfully. "But don't you dare try this trick, okay? Your James is definitely not a stubborn meathead like Will. If you try to provoke him over nothing, I am afraid you won't be able to handle the consequences."

Listening to these scandalous words, Emmy could not help but reach out and push Abriella's face away. "Alright, alright, that is enough out of you." She shot her a helpless glare. "Go back to fawning over your godson."
