The man returned his gaze with an equally hostile glare.
They took an instantaneous, mutual disliking to one another.
Even with her insistence that they were all on the same side, the animosity between them remained thick.
Seizing the moment, she snatched her phone back from the man's pocket.
Just before the two billionaires started throwing punches, she looked at Andres. "Chill. He's my brother. My actual, biological brother."
As she spoke, she powered up her phone and immediately fired off a text to Naomi to assure her she was safe.
Andres thought he might be hallucinating.
Biological brother? What the hell? She had a brother?
Was this terrifyingly intense man one of Luka Morales's illegitimate kids?
Once Naomi was handled, she finally made the introductions.
"This is Titus Reed."
"Titus, this is my husband, Andres White."
She hated dealing with awkward social situations like this, and she absolutely never expected him to crash into Aethelburg like a wrecking ball.
Andres was incredibly familiar with the name Titus Reed.
He was the current head of the Reed Group, a man who basically existed as a corporate myth.
At every major event, the conglomerate was always represented by Mason Reed.
There was even a time when Andres genuinely believed Titus Reed was a fictional front.
Yet here he was—not only very real, but his wife's actual brother. His brother-in-law.
Wait, no. Something wasn't adding up.
Her father was Luka Morales, and her mother was Serenity Vance.
How could Titus Reed possibly be her brother?
And she had explicitly stated they were biologically related.
It completely defied logic.
Breaking the suffocating silence, he asked tentatively, "Cousin?"
He initially assumed it was because of how badly Serenity was treated, but now it seemed there was a completely different reason.
She let out an awkward little laugh.
"Sorry about that. I guess I kept forgetting to tell you my real family history."
"It's not that I was hiding it, it just honestly slipped my mind."
"Luka is definitely not my dad. I only have two fathers in this world: my biological dad and my adoptive dad."
"You've already met Mr. Griffin, my adoptive father. As for my biological dad..."
Thinking of her real father made her strangely hesitant.
Finally, she blurted out the name.
"My real dad was Julian Reed, the former president of Reed Group."
She jabbed a thumb over her shoulder at Titus.
"So yes, he really is my biological brother."
