Sienna suddenly laughed.
She laughed softly, as if watching a pathetic clown perform.
"You aren't even fit to shine my shoes, and you want to order me around? You don't have the right."
She couldn't be bothered to watch Celeste's expression change.
With that, she walked straight toward the door, showing zero intention of compromising.
Celeste made no move to stop her. She simply stood there with her arms crossed, a mocking, entertained smirk resting on her lips.
Seeing Sienna's determination to leave, the guards at the door immediately stepped forward.
Their towering frames blocked the exit, clearly treating Jarred's orders like the gospel truth.
Sienna furrowed her brow. Without another word, she reached into her handbag and swiftly pulled out a pocket watch.
This was her trump card. In just three seconds, she could make these two men obey her like mindless puppets.
She spun the watch lightly between her fingertips, just about to look up and begin hypnotizing the guards.
But then, Celeste's voice drifted over lazily from behind: "Sienna, if you insist on leaving, I obviously can't stop you. I'll just have to tell Jarred the truth."
Celeste chuckled, her tone languid. "If you don't take him or his orders seriously, what can I, an outsider, possibly say?"
Sienna's footsteps halted, and she shot a frigid glare over her shoulder.
Celeste was smiling right at her. It was a perfectly innocent smile, yet something dark and turbulent churned in her eyes.
Sienna feigned indifference. "If you know your place, then shut up and stop buzzing in my ear."
But Celeste's smile only grew more mocking. She slowly raised a hand, waved it dismissively, and said calmly to the two guards, "You boys can step outside for a moment."
The guards exchanged a glance. Though hesitant, they bowed and retreated out the door.
In an instant, only the two of them remained in the sprawling drawing room.
A second later, every trace of that sweet, harmless smile vanished from Celeste's face, replaced by pure, venomous malice.
