Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 873

Sawyer:

With every passing day, I was growing more impatient.

My lycan had told me everything I needed to know: Baxter was our enemy. He could never be our friend.

The thought infuriated me.

Now I understood why I had been so angry when I first met Madeline, why I had forced her to marry me, why I had gone to the werewolf world, and why looking at Baxter had always made me feel like I had seen his face somewhere before.

Of course, I hadn't recognized him. I had lost my memories, and my lycan. Besides, we had only been children back then.

But now, I felt like I could recognize him anywhere.

That asshole betrayed me.

I grunted inwardly at my lycan.

"Well, we can betray him in the worst possible way. Remember the woman he betrayed us for? Madeline? She's still our wife," my lycan reminded me.

"Ha. Now I understand why I was so obsessed with that woman," I remarked.

"To be fair, she is charming."

"Then maybe this rivalry is giving us more than we expected," my lycan replied.

"We're not only getting our revenge, we're also getting the woman everyone wants."

I liked having what others wanted but couldn't have.

While I sat with my lycan, lost in thought, Lady Eugenia suddenly arrived.

It seemed as though she had been waiting for a chance to speak with me. She rubbed her hands together anxiously, looking almost too excited.

She looked creepy and intriguing at the same time, because whenever she arrived like that, it usually meant one of her evil ideas had worked.

"Tell me the good news," I said, reaching for my cup of coffee.

Her gaze dropped to the cup before she smiled. Ever since I had arrived, I had been indulging in expensive wine, so seeing me drink coffee was probably surprising to her.

"My warrior just texted me," she said as she sat down, phone in hand. "I got the herbs and had a weapon made from them. Silver bullets laced with the cursed herb."

She gave me a cheeky grin.

"Oh, they did it?" I asked casually, taking a sip of my coffee.

Coffee could never taste better than wine, but I needed to keep my mind clear. The day after tomorrow, I had to fight the monster, and I had no intention of using my lycan form.

A lycan wouldn't need a gun to kill it anyway.

But no one else needed to know that.

One bullet was all I needed to kill the monster. Meanwhile, rumors would spread that a lycan had to be in his full glory to defeat it.

That way, everyone would believe I was willingly putting my life on the line for them.
