Her father stared back at her with the same dramatic tears gathering in his eyes.

"Well, guess what happened?" she murmured, pointing at me. "An alpha came into the human world and felt a mate bond with me."

Even the way she spoke to her father was ridiculously dramatic.

I felt like I'd somehow walked into a movie.
