A Widow's Poison, A Wife's Rebellion novel Chapter 961

Now that he had caught his breath, things weren't just going to go exactly the way they dictated!

"Be careful. I can't risk exposing myself right now," Amos Kunan warned.

"Understood!"

Amos, of course, understood the high stakes involved. Consequently, he remained on high alert, guarding closely against both Herbert Farley and Yardley Hoggart.

...

Over in Sylvan Vale.

When Starla Lansbury learned that Herbert and Yardley were still relentlessly hunting for her, the message Yardley had sent her suddenly felt steeped in irony.

Meanwhile, Tanya Mercer was locked in a bitter dispute with Darian Lynn. Darian wasn't just getting engaged to Yulisa Mooreโ€”he was going to marry her!!

And right before the wedding, the explosive news that Tanya was pregnant with Darian's child had been leaked to the public.

The entire Marina City was in an uproar. Everyone was dragging Tanya's name through the mud, branding her a shameless homewrecker and accusing someone of her status of trying to use a baby to trap a wealthy man. The backlash was massive!

Even Starla, secluded in Sylvan Vale, couldn't avoid seeing it online.

Staring at the hundreds of thousands of vicious, abusive comments hurled at Tanya, Starla's chest tightened.

"Romy."

"What is it?"

"Do you know anyone over in Marina City?" Starla asked.

She couldn't risk sending Romy in person; her current hideout needed to remain an absolute secret.

"I do," Romy replied.

"Find someone to go to her."

Tanya probably couldn't handle Darian on her own anymore.

Romy stepped out to make the arrangements. After a moment of thought, Starla picked up her phone and dialed Tanya's number.

"Starla," Tanya answered.

Her voice was weak, laced with a bone-deep exhaustion. It was painfully obvious how much damage Yulisa's latest stunt had inflicted on her.

"You still can't get away?" Starla asked.

"That bastard has absolutely no shame!" Tanya spat out. Just mentioning Darian's name made her grind her teeth in pure hatred. She wished he would just drop dead.

Starla remained silent.

"I still haven't been able to take care of the pregnancy," Tanya added, infuriated. Darian had forbidden her from going to the clinic. She was so desperate she'd considered throwing herself down a flight of stairs.

But it was as if Darian had anticipated her every move!

He had guards shadowing her 24/7, leaving her without a single opportunity to terminate the pregnancy.
