Jasmine grew even more furious, immediately struggling against him. "Let me go, I don't want you to hold me!"

Thorne looked down at her. "Fine, but you have to come downstairs and eat."

Jasmine pressed her lips together into a tight pout and turned her head away, refusing to look at him.

Despite his words, Thorne didn't release her. Instead, he carried her straight down the stairs.

Downstairs, the Butler had already instructed the staff to heat up the food, preparing all of Jasmine's favorite dishes.

A bowl of rice was waiting. Thorne set her down and handed her the silverware.

Jasmine hesitated for a moment before taking the fork, and then slowly began to eat in total silence.

Thorne took a seat beside her. Seeing this, the Butler asked, "Thorne, would you like to eat something too?"

Thorne shook his head. "I've already eaten."

The Butler didn't push the matter, quietly stepping away to leave the father and daughter alone.

Jasmine ate without saying a word. Thorne watched her for a moment before speaking. "School is starting soon. Is there anywhere you want to go before then? I can take you."

Jasmine didn't even glance at him. "No."

Hearing this, Thorne didn't press the issue, and Jasmine continued to ignore him.

Thorne just kept watching her.

At first, Jasmine pretended not to notice, but his persistent gaze eventually broke her resolve. "What are you looking at?"

Thorne suddenly smiled, reaching out to ruffle her hair. "Just thinking about how happy I am that you're my daughter."

Jasmine looked at him in sheer confusion.

Thorne didn't say anything else, simply picking up the serving fork to place more food on her plate.

After finishing her meal, Jasmine turned and marched upstairs without a backward glance. Thorne followed right behind her. "Take a shower and get to bed early."

Jasmine didn't reply, but when she went into her room, she left the door slightly ajar instead of slamming it shut.
