She turned her back to me, and I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her close, spooning her from behind, my chest pressed against her back, my knees tucked behind hers. I breathed in the scent of her hair, felt the steady rhythm of her breathing, and waited for sleep to claim me.

It did not come.

My heart started pounding. I felt the blood rush to my head, felt the heat gather in my groin, felt my cock begin to stiffen against the curve of her ass. Her brows knit together. “You just showered a few hours ago. And a cold one, this late, is…” She stopped mid-sentence, and I watched the realization land on her face in real time.

I felt heat creep up my neck, which was absurd, considering everything we’d already done together. Her eyes dropped, tracking lower, landing squarely on the very obvious tent in my pajama pants.

“I thought it was just my imagination,” she said, “when I felt something poking my ass.”

“Why choose to take a cold shower for this?” She sat up fully, the sheet pooling around her waist.
