“Then I suppose you are worth keeping after all.”
I worked my way down her spine, feeling the tension dissolve under my hands, watching her body surrender to my touch. “You are tense everywhere.”
“I have been carrying a lot of tension lately,” she admitted “It’s not easy being in a relationship with the mighty Dominic Ford.”
I pressed a kiss to her shoulder. “I will take full responsibility for making up for it.”

“Greedy.”
“You made me move in with you. These are the consequences of your actions.”
When I was done, I sat against the headboard and pulled her into my arms, settling her against my chest as though she weighed nothing at all. She curled into me, her head resting over my heart, her breath warm against my skin.
“Do you not want children?” I asked.
She stirred against me. “What makes you say that?”
“The first time we had sex, you told me you were on the pill.”
She let out a soft sigh. “It is a pregnancy prevention plan my gynecologist put in my system. It is still active for at least five more months.”
“So you do not want to have children?”
