Two Can Play (Celeste and Dominic) novel Chapter 221

Chapter 221

“Celeste.” He reached for me his hand finding my arm, pulling me toward him. His lips found my neck, my jaw, my mouth, and he kissed me with a desperation that was almost violent, his tongue pushing past my lips even as I tried to pull away.

“Dominic, stop. You need a doctor. You are burning up.”

“I need you.” His hands were on my waist, pulling me closer, his mouth trailing down my neck. “I need you, Celeste. Please.”

“You need a hospital. Let me take you to a hospital.”

“No. I need you. I need to feel you.”

He pulled me onto the bed, his body pressing against mine, and I could feel the heat radiating off him, could feel the frantic pulse of his heart against my chest. His hands were everywhere, pulling at my clothes, his mouth finding mine again and again, and it took everything I had to push myself upright.

“Dominic, listen to me.” I cupped his face in my hands, forcing him to look at me. “You have been drugged. You need medical help. I am going to take you to the hospital and I need you to work with me. Can you do that?”

His eyes were glazed, unfocused, but something in my voice must have reached him because he nodded, a slow jerky movement

of his head.

“Good. Now try to sit up.”

I slid my arms around his waist and pulled. He was heavy, so much heavier than he looked, his muscles dense and solid, and I struggled to lift him. He tried to help, his feet finding the floor, his arms going around my shoulders, but his coordination was shot and every time I managed to get him upright, he would pull me back toward the bed, his lips finding my neck, his hands gripping my hips.

“Celeste, I want you so bad.”

“I know you do. But we have to go to the hospital first.”

“I do not care about the hospital. I care about you.”
